3 3 AC Cable Mounting (AC3) Return to Step 1: Mounting Prep 1. If mounting to utilize flush canopy, prep for ring to be recessed into ceiling. 2. Install proper J-box to support fixture weight, and secure to structure. (see chart A) 3. Run SJT cord through canopy and strain relief bracket into J-box and secure with strain relief, make necessary wiring connections. 4. Install Mounting bracket, and attach canopy to mounting bracket. Mounting Bracket Canopy AC cables with damage, bends, kinks, fraying, or knots must be discarded and replaced with new components. Never install a fixture where the AC cable is more than 5 degrees from perpendicular to the fixture. Fixtures are never to be raised by the cables (instead, lift the fixture up and adjust the cable position). Overtightening of hardware on grippers can damage AC cables. Never exert force down onto the top of the fixture once it is hanging by safety cables. Never cut safety cables prior to installation. 4 3 AC Cable Mounting (AC3) Return to Step 2: Hanging the Fixture 1. Attach AC Cable grippers to fixture, using 3/32 allen wrench fixture has three (3) mounting points for AC cable. 2. Attach AC cables to grippers and adjust cables up or down to level fixture. 9 Pendant Pipe Mounting (PP/PS) Return to Step 1: Prepping the Fixture 1. Start by running the required wires through the pendant and making wiring connections at the fixture, recess connections into fixture. 2. Pendant has threaded end, screw into threaded mount hole in fixture. Step 2: Mounting the Fixture 1. If mounting to utilize flush canopy, prep for ring to be recessed into ceiling. 2. Install proper J-box to support fixture weight, and secure to structure. (see chart A) 3. Install Ring, and mounting bracket to J-box. 4. Lift Fixture and Pendant to Mounting Bracket and slide Pendant Bracket. If using PP Pendant Plate will lock into mounting bracket, then screw on nut. 5. Make wire connections and recess connections into J-box, lift and secure canopy. 11 Canopy Detail Return to Step 1: Canopy Installation 1. Fold down spring tabs to secure spring clip. 2. Pull up the arms of the spring clips, both clips. 3. Slide spring clip arms into holes in mounting bracket. 4. Springs will straighten themselves securing the canopy to the mounting bracket. Step 2: Canopy Removal 1. Pull bracket down away from mounting plate. 2. Spring clip arms will hold onto mounting bracket. To disengage squeeze the arms together and pull them out of the mounting bracket. 13 Surface Mount Return to Step 1: Mounting Prep 1. Install proper support to structure in ceiling/ wall to hold fixture weight (see chart a) 2. Install proper J-Box (by others). Step 2: Making the Connections 1. Remove conduit cover on fixture. 2. Make necessary wiring connections to building power. 3. Recess wires into J-Box. 14 Surface Mount Return to Step 3: Mounting 1. Remove lens by rotating counter clockwise. 2. Knock out the four (4) 7/8 mount holes, and mount fixture to surface using appropriate 1/4 hardware (by others) 3. Once mounted, plug mount holes using supplied Knockout plugs. Step 4 Finishing 1. Reinstall the lens, by turning is clockwise to engage the four (4) lens pins, lift and turn. Make sure all four (4) pins engage the lens.
