7 (). Pivot the lift frame to align the lift arm brackets () with the mounting holes in the front weight bracket () and install the 5/8 in mounting pin (H) through the brackets from the right side. Secure at the left side of the bracket with a locking clip. Tighten 8 hardware securing the lift frame brackets. K X Slide the assembled blade unit to the front of the machine, with the push frame arms () at the outside of the machine front mount brackets (). OT: Only use the upper (smaller) mounting holes at the front of the machine brackets to secure the push frame arms. o not use the lower (larger) mounting holes to secure this attachment! 3. lign the mounting holes in the push frame arms with the front upper holes in the machine brackets and install the 1/2 in. mounting pin () fully through the push frame arms and machine brackets from the right side. X Secure the 1/2 in. mounting pin at the left side of the machine with a locking clip (). H L J X nstall the lift unit: a. With the lift unit on a workbench, hold the upper unit with the motor, and rotate the lower shaft counterclockwise to almost full length. b. Position the upper mounting shaft () of the lift unit between the mounting lugs (J) of the lift unit mount, with the motor to the right side. c. nstall the 1/2 x 4 in. drilled pin (K) (with single cross hole) from the right side, and secure at the left side with a locking clip (). d. djust the length of the lift unit lower shaft as necessary to aid alignment with the lift arm (L) of the push frame. e. Secure the lift unit lower shaft to the lift arm of the push frame by installing the 1/2 x 4 in. drilled pin () (with two cross holes) from the right side, and securing at the inner drilled hole with a locking clip (). The outer hole on this pin is not used. f. lign the lift unit mount (), by moving sideways, so the latching arm (O) engages the top drilled pin (K) without interference. Tighten the 10 hardware securing the lift unit mount. O X nstall the assembled lift frame to the machine: Slide the slotted arms back to engage the 12 bolts K7
8 c UTO: void injury! ingers and hands can be pinched or crushed. e aware of potential pinch points and keep hands away. V V U P X Slide the shovel (P) back to the blade unit. 8. Lift and align the left end of the shovel pivot shaft () with the upper hole in the left end plate (R) and tilt the pivot shaft back into the two center brackets. R X nstall an 10x45 hex head bolt (U) and 10 serrated flange nut (V) in the mounting hole at the right side of the shovel, from the inside, with the nut flange facing the shovel. Secure with an 10 serrated flange nut (V) at the outside. djust the nuts so that the bolt head is approximately 25mm (1 in.) from the shovel sideplate. Tighten hardware. W S T X ring the end of the chain up from the lift arm, around the toothed area on the shovel. nsert one pin from the supplied chain connector link (W) through the last link of the chain, and the other link pin through the hole in the shovel. Secure the connector link with the link side plate and lock, included with the link. ake sure that the chain is engaged correctly with the remaining teeth on the shovel. X nstall the right end plate (S) over the shovel pivot shaft and secure to the blade unit with two 10x30 hex head bolts (T), installed from the outside, and two 10 serrated flange nuts at the inside. Tighten hardware. omplete nstallation (nitial nstallation) 1. Plug the wiring lead connector from the lift unit into the shovel harness connector at the front of the grille. OT: With the shovel assembly installed, the hood will not tilt forward far enough to stay open without assistance or support. 2. ake sure key switch is in off position, then raise hood and connect both the negative battery cable and shovel harness ground lead to the negative (-) battery terminal using original hardware. 3. Temporarily set the control panel on the instrument panel in front of the steering wheel. Plug the three-wire K7
9 connector from the control panel into the mating connector on the shovel harness. H X Position the control panel harness () to the outside of the right side panel mounting stud () while closing hood. Then install the right side () and left side () mounting studs in the two existing holes in the instrument console to secure the control panel in place. X nstall the threaded end of the upper control rod (H) through the grommet in the mounting hole of the control panel support and slide the rod down toward the shovel. 9. nstall a 5/16 in. nut fully onto the threaded end of the upper control rod, then thread the upper control rod into the open end of the threaded connector () that was installed on the lower control rod. 10.Rotate the handle () of the upper control rod so that it is vertical, while the bent end of the lower control rod is properly oriented at the other end, then tighten the two 5/16 in. nuts at the threaded connector to lock the position. c UTO: void injury! achine component is heavy and can fall suddenly when released. Hold component securely and lower slowly. 11.heck the stroke for opening and closing the shovel and adjust, if necessary, by turning the 1/2 in. nut at the end of the roller lift chain. X ssemble a 5/16 in. nut () fully onto the lower control rod (). 6. ssemble the threaded connector () halfway onto the lower control rod. o not tighten hardware at this time. 7. nsert the bent end of the lower control rod into the extension arm () of the main latch from the outside, as shown, and let rod hang down. Removing and nstalling (fter nitial nstall) Removing 1. Unplug lift unit wiring lead. 2. Remove and retain locking clips and drilled pins that secure lift unit, then remove lift unit. 3. Unplug the wiring lead for the control panel, then remove the control panel pivot the control rod assembly to disengage from the latch arm. 4. Remove the lift unit support frame. Retain hardware. 5. Remove the shovel assembly. Retain hardware. nstalling nstall components in the reverse order of removal K7
