3 I certify that all work specifed in this task card has been carried out in accordance with company procedures and SHY-145 / EASA Part-145 standards OBJECTIVE: A L/H MLG REMOVAL / INSTALLATION 2. PROCEDURE: (Ref.Fig.401) WARNING : 1. CHECK THAT LANDING GEAR GROUND SAFETIES INCLUDING WHEEL CHOCKS ARE IN POSITION. 2. BEFORE APPLYING OR RELIEVING HYDRAULIC SYSTEM PRESSURE, MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE CONTROL SURFACES ARE CLEAR. 3. BEFORE PRESSURIZING HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS, CHECK THAT ALL CONTROLS ARE SET TO CORRESPOND WITH THE ACTUAL POSITION OF THE SERVICES THEY OPERATE. 4. BEFORE POWER IS SUPPLIED TO THE AIRCRAFT MAKE CERTAIN THAT ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS UPON WHICH WORK IS IN PROGRESS ARE ISOLATED. 5. BEFORE PRESSURIZING HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS, MAKE CERTAIN THAT HYDRAULIC SYSTEM UNDER MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN ISOLATED. A. JOB SET-UP: (1) On panel 4VU - make certain that landing gear control lever is in DOWN position and prohibit its operation by displaying a warning notice. (2) Between First Officer s and Third Occupant s seats - make certain that landing gear Free Fall extension control handle is in Normal position. (3) Position access platforms. (4) Position safety barriers prohibiting access to gear door travel ranges. WARNING : MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE DOOR TRAVEL RANGES ARE CLEAR. (5) Open main gear doors (Ref , P. Block 301). WARNING : WHEN DOORS ARE OPEN MAKE CERTAIN THAT SAFETY COLLARS ARE POSITIONED ON DOOR ACTUATING CYLINDERS. (6) Depressurize Green hydraulic system (Ref , P. Block 301) and prohibit its operation by displaying a warning notice. - on Green hydraulic system ground connectors - on panel 427VU to prohibit operation of Green electric pumps (ELEC PUMPS pushbutton switch). 5 (11) Remove the four wheels of the landing gear involved (Ref ,P. Block 1).. (12) Remove brake units from landing gear concerned (Ref , P. Block 401).. (13) Remove wheel tachometers (Ref , P. Block 401).. (14) Disconnect secondary door control rod (6), at its attachment point on main gear leg (1). (15) Remove cylinder door (Ref , P. Block 401).. (a) Remove and discard cotter pin (4), remove nut (3) and retain washer (2). (b) Remove spacer (5), bolt (18), disengage control rod (6) and remove bushing (19). (16) Position hydraulic fluid container. B. REMOVAL:. (Ref. Fig. 401) (Ref. Fig. 402) (Ref. Fig. 403) (1) Disconnect aircraft systems at main gear-to-structure attachment point. (a) (b) Identify positions of hydraulic lines, disconnect lines and cap open line ends. Identify positions of electric cables, disconnect cables and cap connectors. (2) Disconnect system connections between actuating cylinder and main gear leg. (3) Disconnect actuating cylinder (43) from drag strut (41). (a) Mark and disconnect hydraulic lines at their connections on actuating cylinder.blank open line ends and unions. (b) Position hoisting device H21901 on actuating cylinder (43). (c) (d) Attach actuating cylinder hoisting equipment 98A to structure. Position minilift. (e) Remove sealant around the head of bolt (39), end cap (40) and nut (33). (f) Remove and discard cotter pin (34). (g) Remove nut (33). (h) Retain washer (35). (i) Remove bolt (39) and end cap (40). 6 (k) Disengage actuating cylinder eye end fitting (43) from trunnion (38). (l) Retain the washer (42). (m) Temporarily attach all attaching parts on structure. (4) Disconnect locking springs (21) from attachments on lock link assembly (25). (a) Install stretching fixture F (b) Remove and discard the two cotter pins (23). (c) Remove the two nuts (22) and washers (24). (d) Disengage locking springs (21) from lock link assembly (25). (e) Temporarily attach springs (21) to structure. (5) Disconnect brace strut (26) from main gear leg. (a) (b) Install hoisting clamp 98A on brace strut. Position minilift. (c) Install brace strut handling fixture H NOTE : Support weight of brace strut to remove attaching parts. (d) Remove cotter pin (32) and nut (31). (e) Retain washer (30). (f) Extract bolt (27). (g) Remove end caps (28) and remove shaft (29) using extractor F (h) (i) Disengage brace strut end fitting. Fold brace strut and temporarily attach lower arm end fitting to upper arm. - Temporarily install attaching hardware on brace strut end fitting and protect end fitting against possible damage. (6) At bearings, remove rubber coating from parts to be removed using a spatula taking care not to damage protective finish. (7) Mark parts coated with Sealant (Material No or No ). (8) Gradually depressurize shock absorber leaving a residual pressure of 5 bars (72.52 psi) (Ref , P. Block 601).. (9) Position main gear handling trolley and secure to leg. WARNING : BEFORE DISCONNECTING MAIN GEAR LEG FROM WING, MAKE CERTAIN THAT LEG IS CORRECTLY SECURED TO HANDLING TROLLEY. 0 6 Work Order Maintenance Taskcard CAQ 6010A00678 CCAQ L/G CHANGE / 1

7 NOTE : Conditions facilitating removal : - After removal of nut (55) adjust height (Z) of landing gear to enable removal of hinge shaft (65). - Rotate hinge shaft (65) to locate position at which hinge shaft (65) is subjected to least load. - Prior to removing hinge shaft (65) : install support strut and collar on shock absorber (handling trolley). - When attaching support strut to torque link/pitch damper attachment,take care not to overtighten screwjack. (10) Disconnect main gear leg (1) from wing. (a) Remove and discard cotter pin (54) and drive out pin (53). (b) Remove nut (55) using hook spanner 98A (c) Cut and remove lockwire and remove the two half-seals (51). (d) Remove hinge shaft (65) equipped with lubrication insert (66) using extractor 98A Remove lubrication insert (66) and check condition of seals (52). Replace seals (52) if necessary. (e) Remove grease nipples (67). (f) Remove grease nipple (62). (g) Remove screws (64) and half-seals (63). (h) Maneuver handling trolley to free shock strut eye end fitting from strutural clevis. Angular displacement required is approximately 23. (i) Disengage trunnion (57) from spherical bearing (59) by moving handling trolley towards rear of the aircraft. (j) Remove and discard grease seal (58). C. PREPARATION OF REPLACEMENT COMPONENT: (1) Depreserve replacement landing gear leg by removing external protective coverings. (2) Remove axle protective sleeve and spacer from landing gear leg and install then on the replacement landing gear leg (Ref. AMM , P. Block 401) Para. 5).. (3) Install replacement landing gear leg on handling trolley (after having withdrawn removed gear leg). (4) On removed gear leg remove : - safety valves (Ref , P. Block 401). - servo valve (Ref , P. 8 (5) On replacement gear leg install : - safety valves (Ref , P. Block 401). - servo valve (Ref , P. Block 401). (6) Clean all parts for installation with Cleaning Agent (Material No ) and dry with filtered compressed air. NOTE : Clean the attachment hardware with Cleaning Agent (Material No A) and dry with filtered compressed air. Apply a light coat of Anti-corrosion Compound (Material No ) to the threads of all nuts, screws, bolts and pins. (7) Check condition of all parts to be installed; replace any damaged parts. (8) Position landing gear leg at its attach fittings. D. INSTALLATION: (1) Using the various locating devices on landing gear leg handling trolley,lift and position landing gear leg for engagement of trunnion. Install grease seal (58) on structural spherical bearing (59). (2) Install guiding tool on trunnion (57). CAUTION : SPHERICAL BEARING (59) MUST BE POSITIONED WITH GREASE SEAL (58) AT THE FORWARD SIDE AND BORE GROOVE POSITIONED IN ORDER TO COINCIDE WITH EXISTING GREASE HOLES IN TRUNNION. (3) Position spherical bearing (59) to facilitate insertion of trunnion (57). (4) Smear trunnion (57) and spherical bearing (59) contact surfaces with Grease (Material No ). (5) Maneuver handling trolley so that trunnion (57) enters spherical bearing (59). (6) Remove guiding tool and push home trunnion (57) in spherical bearing (59). NOTE : Make certain that guiding tool is removed as soon as trunnion (57) is entered into spherical bearing (59). (7) Install and safety half-seals (63) with screws (64). (8) Blank greaseway holes using grease nipple (62). (9) Push home trunnion in spherical bearing (59). (10) Maneuver handling trolley to guide shock strut eye end fitting into structural clevis and align bores. (11) Install hinge shaft (65).. (a) Smear hinge shaft bearing surfaces with Grease (Material No ). (b) Install hinge shaft (65) with lubrication insert (66). (c) Smear thread of hinge shaft (65) with Grease (Material No ). 0 8 Work Order Maintenance Taskcard CAQ 6010A00678 CCAQ L/G CHANGE / 1

9 (d) Install nut (55) using hook spanner 98A Tighten nut (55) to between 6.8 and 13.6 m.dan (50 and 100 lbf.ft.) taking care to line up shear pin holes in nut (55) and hinge shaft (65). NOTE : If hinge shaft (65) is not drilled for installation of two pins (53), remove hinge shaft and sleeve (68), assemble hinge shaft, sleeve and nut (55) on a bench and TORQUE nut to between 6.8 and 13.6 m.dan (50 and 100 lbf.ft.); using nut as a guide, drill two holes 4.85 mm diameter through hinge shaft in accessible position for subsequent installation on aircraft, (several holes can be drilled in hinge shaft (65) provided that a minimum separation of thirty degrees is respected between two adjacent holes), deburr drilled holes. After drilling of holes, protect them with Anti-corrosion Compound (Material No ). (e) Check that clearance A (Ref. Fig. 403) is between mm (0.004 in.) and mm (0.028 in.). (f) Smear the two pins (53) with Sealant (Material No ). (g) Install two pins (53) and safety with cotter pins (54). (h) Clean the surfaces smeared with Grease (Material No ). Apply a bead of Sealant (Material No ) between the splines of hinge shaft (65) and nut (55) and between hinge shaft bearing surfaces and hinge shaft (65). (12) Install the two half-seals (51) on either side of spherical bearing and wirelock. (13) Coat with Sealant (Material No or No ) the zones identified in the removal operation. (14) Install grease nipples (67). (15) Remove landing gear leg handling trolley. (16) Connect brace strut (26) to main gear leg.. (a) Using handling fixture H21815, position brace strut (26) so as to align shock strut, brace strut (26) and drag strut (41). (b) Install shaft (29) and end caps (28). (c) Install bolt (27) with washer (30). (d) Install nut (31) and TORQUE to between 20.5 and 24 m.dan (151.2 and 177 lbf.ft.). Safety nut (31) with cotter pin (32). (e) Remove handling fixture H (17) Connect locking springs (21) to lock link assembly (25).. (a) Position locking springs (21). (b) Position washers (24). (c) Install nuts (22) and TORQUE to between 2.5 and 4 m.dan (18 and 29 lbf.ft.). Safety nuts 0 9 Work Order Maintenance Taskcard CAQ 6010A00678 CCAQ L/G CHANGE / 1

10 (22) with cotter pins (23). (d) Remove stretching fixture F (18) Connect actuating cylinder (43) to drag strut (41). (Ref. Fig. 402). (a) Install the washer (42) on trunnion (38). (b) Position actuating cylinder (43) eye end fitting on trunnion (38). (c) Install end cap (37). (d) Install end cap (40) and bolt (39). (e) Install lubrication insert (36). NOTE : Make sure that the tenons of the lubrication insert (36) are correctly engaged in the notches of the end cap (40). (f) Install washer (35). (g) Install nut (33) and TORQUE to between 12.5 and 16.5 m.dan (92.20 and lbf.ft).. (h) Install cotter pin (34). (i) (j) (k) Apply sealant (Material No ) around the head of the bolt (39), end cap (40) and nut (33). Remove minilift. Remove actuating cylinder hoisting equipment 98A from structure. (l) Remove hoisting device H21901 from actuating cylinder (43). (m) One at a time, remove blanking plugs/caps from hydraulic lines/unions and connect hydraulic lines. (19) Connect secondary door control rod (6) at its attachment on main gear leg (1). Grease bushing (19) bore, spacer (5) and bolt (18) with Grease (Material No ) or (Material No ).. NOTE : Do not mix Material No with Material No You can use Material No as an alternative to Material No Clean and degrease the parts before you use Material No (a) Install bushing (19) and position rod (6). (b) Install bolt (18), spacer (5) and washer (2). NOTE : Bolt (18) shall be installed with threaded portion facing forward. (c) Install nut (3), TORQUE nut (3) to between 3.5 and 4.1 m.dan (25.81 and lbf. ft.) and safety with cotter pin (4).. 11 (21) Connect system connections at gear leg-to-structure attachments. (a) (b) Remove blanking plugs/caps and connect hydraulic lines in accordance with marking made during removal. Remove protective caps from electrical connectors and connect in accordance with marking made during removal. (22) Install cylinder door (Ref , P. Block 401). (23) Install wheel tachometers (Ref , P. Block 401). (24) Install brake units (Ref , P. Block 401). (25) Install wheels (Ref , P. Block 1). (26) Charge pitch damper (Ref , P. Block 1). (27) Charge shock absorber (Ref , P. Block 601). (28) Bleed Normal braking system (Ref , P. Block 301). (29) Bleed Alternate braking system (Ref , P. Block 301). (30) Carry out lubrication operations (Ref , P. Block 1). E. TESTS: (1) Carry out a functional test of Normal landing gear extension and retraction (Ref , P. Block 501). CAUTION : BEFORE TEST, SLOWLY RETRACT LANDING GEAR BY USING LOW HYDRAULIC FLOW RATE AND THEREBY CHECK CLEARANCE BETWEEN LANDING GEAR AND ADJACENT STRUCTURE, AND CHECK LANDING GEAR FOR EVIDENCE OF BINDING OR TENDENCY TO HANG UP. NOTE : Carefully check all the various components for leakage at initial pressurization and upon completion of tests. (2) Carry out a system test of gear retraction inhibition with left and right main gear shock absorbers compressed and bogie beam not aligned. (Ref , P. Block 501 para.(4) and (6)). (3) Carry out a functional test of landing gear Free Fall extension (Ref , P.Block 501). (4) Carry out a Normal braking operational test (Ref: , P. Block 501). (5) Carry out test of braking upon main gear touch-down (Ref. AMM , P. Block 501), Para. 4. System Test, step (7)). (6) Carry out an operational test of alternate braking with and without anti-skid (Ref , P. Block 501) (Ref , P. Block 501). F. CLOSE-UP: (1) Remove hydraulic fluid container. 12 equipment. WARNING : MAKE CERTAIN THAT AREA UNDER AIRCRAFT IS CLEAR. (3) Lower the aircraft onto its wheels (Ref , P. Block 1). (4) Remove safety clips and tags and close circuit breakers 4GE, 7GX - BRAKES : 17GS, 1GV, 17GW, 1GW, 5GG, 98GG, 4GG, 42GG, 2GG, 41GG, 95GG on panel 133VU - L/G GEAR PROX DET : 83GB, 1GB, 2GB, 119GB, 3GB on panel 133VU WARNING : AFTER CLOSING CIRCUIT BREAKER 119GB LOCATED ON PANEL 133VU, PERFORM APPROPRIATE PROCEDURE (REF , P. Block 501). (5) Pressurize hydraulic reservoirs (Ref , P. Block 301). WARNING : MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE DOOR TRAVEL RANGES ARE CLEAR. (6) Close main gear doors (Ref , P. Block 301). (7) Top up hydraulic reservoirs if necessary (Ref , P. Block 1). (8) Remove warning notices. (9) Close access doors, remove access platforms and safety barriers.
