The Ford Motor Company chose them for their Advance Vehicle Division, and Competition Off-Road vehicles. The Supertorque 11" is rpm higher stall than the standard item. The 10" is rpm higher. Increases of up to 34 bhp at the rear wheels at 4000 rpm, have been obtained over the standard converter. Good for up to 450 bhp. Uses Torrington roller bearings, burnished hubs, and are fitted with a drain plug. The "manual" competition, low drag valve body is the same as that used on all Art Carr competition transmissions. It enables manual shift control in upshifting with virtually zero lag between gears. It has a positive neutral position and eliminates the need for vacuum throttle control. Art Carr Transmission Brakes/Valve Bodies The new Art Carr P.G. Rebel Brake TM has a quicker release, and has a built in safety feature. With neutral in the reverse detent for when the transmission is shifted into reverse it is neutral.
