Advantageous use in particular in hydraulic systems with successive cyclic movements of different consumers per work cycle (subsequent switching operations). The various kinds of control signals can be converted by appropriate command units into electrical signals and utilized as control commands: Manual Push button switch Dependent on path (position) Limit switch (contact switch) Dependent on pressure Pressure switching units, contact manometer Optical Photocells (with appropriate signal amplification), e.g. Iight barriers Thermal Temperature sensor, remote thermometer Mounting Single- or double-action solenoids can be used depending on the number of operating positions of the directional spool valve. The coil body (electrical section) is mounted on an armature pipe accommodating and guiding the armature. The armature is directly connected to the valve spool via a link rod (mechanical section). The armature pipe is pressure-sealed and externally closes off the pressurized return chamber 1) of the directional spool valve (necessary for series connections). Thus the armature is flushed with the return flow lubricating it (maintenance-free) and protecting it from ambient conditions (e.g. corrosion due to water of condensation). The moveable link rod does not require a seal, therefore no friction and the solenoid force can be completely employed. The coil body is sealed to the armature pipe via 0-rings at its face ends. The plug base together with the underlying winding connections are molded or integrated in the plastic jacket (dep. on solenoid size). Therefore both are protected from the penetration of corrosive moisture. Thus the solenoid is suited for outdoor use. Nevertheless installation in the splash area of the undercarriage or operating unit should be avoided with mobile applications. To use, insert the pin until the drop-in pin is felt, then turn until the pin has locked completely in the groove In operative position 2. Look for switching position 3. Disengage after use and pull to the stop (capstan again in inoperative position) M.. 1 to M.. 8 Unlock and pull up Pulled up M.. 2/.. M.. 23/.. M.. 3/.. Caution: The pin must be unlocked and pulled up at all costs to prevent malfunctions, especially when pressure is exerted at the return connection (series connection) of several valves. A feature unique to directional spool valve banks in an SKH series connection: Due to the reversal in flow direction in each even-numbered valve (refer to pamphlets 7230), the emergency manual operation of these valves can only be actuated with difficulty, if at all, at pressures greater than 40 to 50 bar. Hence, emergency manual operation in SKH directional spool valve banks is only possible in conjunction with baffle plates.
