1 Pull Cord Switch BX5800 Application The Pull Cord Switch is an emergency switch used to stop the belt conveyor instantly when an accident occurs. When an accident occurs or for the normal corrective maintenance, workers can pull cord at any position along with the belt to stop the belt conveyor. It is widely used in various belt conveyor equipment for coal, cement and building materials, mining, electricity, port, metallurgy and chemical industries

Operating principle The Pull Cord Switch is installed at the side of belt conveyor along the conveyor. When an accident occurs in the belt conveyor, the worker can stop the belt conveyor at any position with pulling the cord in order to drive the actuating arm rotating. The rotation may put the torsion spring in motion through the transmission shaft to drive the cam into the displacement. Then it may drive microswitches to cut down the control wiring. Thus the belt conveyor can stop operation. 5 The pull cord switch should be installed on both sides of the conveyor called the maintenance passages.
