C494 Connector for cable harness from cab to frame

1 C494 C494 C494 is a 21-pin connector that gives the bodybuilder access to a number of signals and functions, depending on the vehicle specification. The connector also makes it possible to adapt the vehicle by bridging the signals to other connectors on the bodywork console. The connector is blue and is located on the outer part of the bodywork bracket. Note: The location of C494 varies, depending on whether the bodywork console has space for 6, 7 or 8 connectors. See the illustration below on the right. Positioning all the way to the left applies from autumn For vehicles built before 20 January 2005 with preparation for tail lift (variant code 3026B) and power take-off (variant code 3026C) respectively, the connector has 18 pins and is grey. Information about how the connector is connected to the DIN-connectors C486, C487 and C488 (variant code 2411F) on the frame is provided further on in the document. 2 Connections to DIN connectors on the frame Connections to DIN connectors on the frame Signals from the instrument panel and central electric unit are routed to the frame using an additional cable harness from C494 to DIN connectors C486, C487 and C488. The variant code for the cable harness is 2411F. Extension cables for further connection to DIN connectors on the frame are available as an option for all vehicles.
