4 BOR BGINNING AMBLY Your MINICRAT lathead ickup model contains a wealth of highly detailed parts. lease take a moment to read the instruction sheet to become familiar with the parts before beginning assembly. Be sure to test the fit of all parts before gluing. Remove the plating from the custom 'chromed' parts in the areas where glue will be applied. Note and follow instruction icons shown below. Cement fuel pump () into hole on rear of intake manifold. Note diagram showing location. Cement heads () in place. Attach engine mounts (/0) as shown.

5 Right 0 Left Assemble generator and mount (//), then attach assembly to engine. Cement belt and pulleys () to positions shown. ress fit exhausts (/0) (do not glue) to engine block. xhausts should be glued in place after fitting the engine to chassis (tep 0). Note that exhausts will later be positioned pointing out of the sides of the engine compartment. 8 Cement coil (8) and shifter base () in place as shown. NOT: Underside of engine is shown. Cement starter motor () to oil pan. (/) () (8) () () 8 Assemble the chassis by cementing all parts indicated to (), then cement () to other parts. NOT: All parts are shown upside down. Dry fit all parts to become familiar with assembly procedure. Also refer to tep 0 below. Attach rear suspension mount () to frame. Allow to dry thoroughly. Cement differential cover (8) to rear axle assembly. lace rear axle assembly in place, then glue shock absorbers () into position on axle and suspension mount.all parts should align as shown in diagram below. IMORTANT NOT It is recommended to use a slow-setting glue such as tube cement or epoxy for assembling the shock absorbers () to the driveshaft/axle assembly and part, as these parts should be assembled simultaneously for proper alignment. 7 LA NOT It is especially important to check the fit of the custom chromed parts in the following steps. Additional sanding may be necessary due to the extra thickness of the chrome finish. Cement tie rods (/) in place as shown. it parts into holes as indicated horten one end of hinge pins (x) to dimensions shown using wire cutter or pliers. Glue hinge pins into parts (8/) as shown. It is recommended to use epoxy glue for additional strength. When thoroughly dry, glue in place as shown. Glue interior door panels D(/0) in place and attach hardware (/). Glue bracket K() in place on the left side. K To match the style of the box top model, remove the small details on all corners of tonneau cover K(). K Attach completed bed assembly to chassis. Glue parts C() and C() together using a slow-setting cement. Align assembly with radiator and firewall and glue in place. 0 Attach Tonneau cover K() to bed walls. C C ome parts not shown for clarity. 15 Your Minicraft model includes high-quality waterslide decals. These decals adhere best to a glossy surface; and it is recommended that you apply a clear gloss coat over your painted model. Use a sharp scissors or knife to cut individual decals from the carrier sheet. Do not cut into the clear film surrounding the individual decals. * It is recommended that you apply one decal at a time. * lace the decal section in warm water, when first inserted in the water your decal will curl, after approximately ten seconds the decal will uncurl. Remove from water and lay on a paper towel. After approximately 0-0 seconds the decal will slide freely from the backing paper. Use a small brush to help slide the decal from the backing paper and into position on the model. Carefully blot excess water from the decal, using care not to move the decal or tear it. * If you choose to use a setting solution, apply a thin coat over the decal following the manufacturer s instruction. * Allow the decal to dry overnight. Wash any adhesive residue off the model with a small amount of clean water and dry thoroughly. * Apply clear gloss, matte or flat coat to seal decals following the instructions from the manufacturer.
