2 1. General A special inverter software has been developped for decanter drives. The actual value I-INVERTER DATA:Variant shows, which inverter software variation is handled by the inverter. The value Decanter shows, that this is the decanter specific software. The standard software is indicated by the value Standard. The decanter specific software is specified by the parameter P-INV.BEHVIOUR:Mains and the parameter menu PARAMETER in addition to the standard. 2. Supplementary Adjusting Showing the decanter specific parameters must be seen as addition of the standard menu design (see inverter documentation 4Bs0357en/ ). 3 DYNAVERT T Parameter description: P-INV. BEHVIOUR Mains The parameter appears with decanter software (I-INVERTER DATA:Version=Decanter) in the menu P-INV.BEHVIOUR. Use this parameter to choose, whether missing one or more mains phases (phase failure) result in Fault Undervoltage and whether the monitoring Inverter fault Mains rectifier should be active. 3 AC Adjusting this is required, if the inverter is supplied by three phases via its mains connection terminals. With this all monitoring functions at the mains side are active. Phase failure results in Fault Undervoltage and monitoring Inverter fault Mains rectifier is active. DC This adjustment has to be selected, if the inverter is not supplied by three phases via its mains connection terminals, but for example by a DC-voltage at the intermediate circuit terminals. This can be the case with the worm inverter in a double inverter plant for decanters. With this adjusting all monitoring functions at the mains side are deactivated. PARAMETER Decanter This parameter adjusts the effects of the decanter control function (torque depending speed variation). off on add. The torque depending speed variation is not active. Attenuate This parameter sets the time constant of the attenuation for the speed variation. This is necessary, because the torque depending speed variation shows a regenerative feedback seen from the control technique.

5 DYNAVERT T 3. Supplementary Functional Description The decanter specific software realizes special functions for the application of a decanter drive. This special function can be activated or deactivated. If the function is deactivated, the inverter works like a standard device with identic software modification status. The special functions are specified by the fact that the motor torque is compared to an adjustable threshold. With exceeding the adjustable threshold the set value set before is internally varied depending on the amplifying alpha. Using the parameter Decanter one can choose, whether the speed should be increased or decreased with motor torque. With this, this software can be used either with inverters as single drive of the worm, so as with double inverters with leading and lagging worm. Because of the torque depending speed variation means a regenerative feedback in the sense of the control technique, this changing is damped by an adjustable attenuation. The required adjustments of M alpha, alpha and Attenuate are only depending on the decanter and the product. Because of this, no adjusting recommendations can be given. The optimum adjusting must be found during machining the original product.
