1 Catalog Number FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS INTENDED USE Round Tapered Aluminum Pole with Single or Twin s is a special purpose light pole to provide up to 40-foot mounting heights for Roadway lighting applications. This pole provides a lighter and naturally corrosion-resistant option for mounting Roadway luminaires. CONSTRUCTION Pole Shaft: The pole shaft is of uniform wall thickness and is one-piece extruded 6063 aluminum alloy with T6 temper. The shaft is cone-tapered. Available shaft base diameters are 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. Pole Top: A cast aluminum top cap with set screws is provided for all poles. The top cap resists intrusion of moisture and environmental contaminants. Handhole: A reinforced 4" x 6" handhole with flush surface cover is located 18" above base. Grounding provision is 5/16-18 tapped hole in handhole reinforcement adjacent to opening. Positioning the handhole lower than standard may not be possible and requires engineering review; consult Tech Support-Outdoor for further information. Every handhole includes a cover and cover attachment hardware. Bolt Caps/Base Cover: Pole base plate utilizes cast aluminum A365 bolt caps included to cover separately ordered anchor bolt and nut assembly. Optional two-piece cast aluminum and decorative base covers are available. Spun aluminum one or two-piece covers are also available as an option. Anchor Base/ Bolts: Anchor base is cast from 356 alloy aluminum and is heat treated to a T6 temper after welding. Anchor bolts are manufactured to ASTM F1554 Standards Grade 55, (55 KSI minimum yield strength and tensile strength of KSI). Upper portion of anchor bolt is galvanized per ASTM A-153; bolts have an L bend on bottom end and are galvanized a minimum of 12" on the threaded end. Each hot-dipped galvanized anchor bolt is furnished with two hex nuts and two flat washers. HARDWARE All structural and non-structural fasteners are stainless-steel. FINISH Painted finish is coated with polyester powder that meets 5A and 5B classifications of ASTM D3359. Standard powder-coat finishes include Dark Bronze, White, Black, Medium Bronze and Natural Aluminum colors. Classic finishes include Sandstone, Charcoal Gray, Tennis Green, Bright Red and Steel Blue colors. Other finishes include Brushed Aluminum, and Anodized Dark Bronze, Anodized Natural Aluminum and Anodized Black. Architectural Colors and Special Finishes are available by quote and include, but are not limited to RAL Colors, Custom Colors and Extended Warranty Finishes. Factory-applied primer paint finish is available for customer field-paint applications. ARM CONSTRUCTION Body of mounting arm is tapered aluminum alloy 6063-T6 tube with 2-3/8" OD (2" NPS) pipe size at luminaire end. The pole end of the arm is welded to an aluminum alloy 6063-T6 mounting assembly. ARM HARDWARE mounting assembly utilizes stainless steel hardware to secure assembly to pole. A grommet is provided for the 1-1/4" diameter wiring hole between the pole shaft and the bracket arm. ARM FINISH Finish to match pole shaft. WARRANTY 1-year limited warranty.
