30 Rationale For car-sharing to be really accepted for everyday use, vehicles must be ready under the passenger s doorstep within 3-5 minutes from call. Free floating service is a great opportunity for passengers who can leave the car everywhere. Conclusion To allow 3-5 minutes max delay from call, an efficient car repositioning service combined with and an optimal car-redistribution algorithm must be developed.
