The objectives of the AMC-campaign in Krakow increase the number of trips with PT use, increase the number of passengers satisfied with the PT operation, higher usage of an existing Internet information system for travel planning, improvement of the PT service during the campaign and creation of the foundations for infrastructure improvement in the future.

Individualised contact phase: Household visiting General materials distribution Order forms distribution questionnaire research (ex ante)
Different ways to get a ticket Information materials General information about PT service Ticket price Map of bus lines
Information materials Benefits of bike use Bike paths Bike rental system
Order form
Individual contact chosen results: - Total sample: 508 persons (households) - About 1950 knockings ; effectiveness: 25% - About 4000 households in region; 13% interviewed - About 400 people asking for personalised information
Individual contact chosen results Share of people who currently use minimum one of the bus lines in analysed region
Individual contact chosen results Reasons of not using PT 80% 70% 60% 57,1% 61,8% 50% Share [%] 40% 30% 20% 10% 0% 5,0% 15,1% 17,4% 9,3% 12,0% 1,5% 16,2% 3,1% 26,6% Low quality of PT (punctuality, overcrowding) No direct PT connection low PT frequency Expensive monthly tickets Expensive single tickets unfavorable access to the bus stop The nature of work requires the car use Car / motorcycle is more convenient Car / motorcycle is much faster Most often I use the bike Another reason
Individual contact chosen results Factors encouraging the PT use 80% 70% 60% 50% Share [%] 40% 30% 20% 10% 0% 25,5% 3,5% 7,7% 18,5% 9,7% 3,9% 9,7% 18,9% 22,4% 9,3% 6,9% 13,9% 1,2% 12,0% More courses (higher frequency) Higher punctuality Shorter travel time More direct PT connections Greater comfort inside PT vehicle Improvement in the access to the bus stop Better bus stop infrastructure Cheaper monthly tickets Cheaper single tickets Difficulties with parking in the city More expensive parking in the city "Park and Ride" "Bike and Ride" Another reason
