15 Managing Drivers Hours Regulations If you are involved in transport planning or supervision and want to improve your tachograph interpretation skills, then this half-day course is the ideal investment. You will be made aware of the requirements of escort vehicles, your roles and responsibilities, operating practices and documentation requirements, enabling your business to operate in a compliant manner. First Aid at Work This comprehensive three-day course will give delegates the full set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces. It meets the standards required to comply with Health and Safety at Work Legislation and includes both theory and practical sessions. 17 Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor This intensive six-day course will equip attendees with knowledge in the preparation, storage and transport of dangerous substances. Companies involved in the transport of dangerous goods can rest assured that their appointed member of staff will gain the necessary knowledge to ensure compliance and adhere to the rules and regulations stipulated. Candidates will be obliged to sit the following papers set by the SQA Examinations Board: Core; All Classes; and Road Freight Mode papers. All ADR topics such as classification, packaging and labelling of dangerous substances in UN classes 1-9 will be covered, in addition to transport categories, limited and excepted quantities, documentation, placarding and marketing of vehicles. For further information regarding dates and prices for this course, please call or Wellness On Wheels Protecting the Food Supply Chain This course is designed to address all areas of driver wellbeing in the workplace, including the effects of fatigue on a driver s performance caused by alcohol, drugs and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. It demonstrates how health is affected by poor rest breaks and what practical steps can be taken to improve conditions and practices. The course will also provide a reminder of the vulnerability of other road users and culminate in the delivery of a Health and Hygiene session designed to meet the global standards set out by the British Retail Consortium for businesses involved in the storage and transport of food stuffs.
