2 SE5000 Programming Sheet PROGRAMMING PARAMETERS FOR FITTING THIS VEHICLE WITH AN SE5000 KRM SERIES TACHOGRAPH. Note. Read the parameters of the tachograph to be replaced, and note all connections to the tachograph, paying particular attention to Vpulse, dual axle configuration, D8 serial data, Revs input etc. The below vehicle settings are the default vehicle settings which should be applied. However, individual vehicle specifications may vary. Default setting for D6 outputs that can be switched between ISO & Open collector (o/c) is ISO. The vehicle must be calibrated in an approved manner after fitting. The road speed limiter must be calibrated after a replacement tachograph is fitted. The illumination of the KRM series tachograph can be changed between White & Green, please select the colour best suited to the vehicle illumination. 3 . Remove the centre console storage bin (Above CD / Radio Unit) and discard, as this will not be needed. 2. Open the drawer on the cup holder and extend fully, exposing the mounting screws pictured. Remove the cup holder cassette and place on the workbench. 3. Turn the cup holder cassette upside down and remove cup tray from cup holder by squeezing the pivot arms together. 4. Remove the 3 screws holding the front facia panel to the cup holder, retain the front facia.

4 5. Attach the infill bracket into cup holder slot using the 3 screws previously used to hold the cup holder cassette in place. 6. Remove the 2 visible allen screws from the corners of the upper facia panel. 7. Using a thick, soft rag to protect the facia, prise the upper facia panel away from its lower retaining clips with a screwdriver or preferably a plastic pry bar. 8. Disconnect harness connectors from upper facia switches and remove the upper facia panel, take care to ensure that the plastic is not damaged whilst removed.

5 9. Pull out ashtray assembly and remove. 0. Remove the screws securing the lower facia panel in place. 4 from top edge and 2 from behind ashtray, as shown in the illustrations below.. Pull the lower facia panel forward as far as possible, without causing damage. 2. Attach the front facia panel previously removed from the cup holder onto the infill bracket (using 2 of the screws previously used to hold the facia to the cup holder) from behind lower facia.

6 3. Remove IP harness from its clips. 4. Pull IP harness towards steering wheel in order to route spur down the side of radio, as shown in illustration below. 5. Reattach lower facia panel (refitting all 6 screws ashtray and upper edge) and refit ashtray. 6. Remove the 5 screws shown securing the instrument binnacle and release from the 3 snap clips at rear.

7 7. Remove the 4 Instrument Pack securing screws. 8. Remove both the upper and lower steering column cowlings (3 screws). 9. Next remove fuse box cover by pushing the release button upwards, and swinging the fuse box down, and out of the way. 20. Remove the trim panels from behind steering column. Lower panel first (4 screws) and then upper panel ( screw.)

8 2. Feed IP and VSS tacho harness connectors through the empty tacho slot and follow IP harness to the rear of steering wheel. 22. Feed the IP connector up through dash hole to the rear of the IP (a useful tip is to use a slave wire to pull the connector through). 23. Connect the IP connector into the corresponding socket on bottom of IP. 24. Refit the IP and instrument binnacle. 25. Connect the Speed Interface Connector to the Speedo Pulse Converter 26. Cable tie VSS interface unit to tie bar.

9 27. Reassemble the steering column trim panels and cowlings. 28. Remove the cable tie that is retaining the white in-line connector. 29. Unplug these connectors from each other and re-connect into the corresponding connectors on the new tacho harness. 30. Position the new tacho harness to the LH side, out of the way of tacho slot. 3. Connect the white and yellow connectors onto the rear on the tacho head unit (As shown below). DO NOT CONNECT THE BROWN

10 32. Fit tacho head unit into the DIN slot pushing down on front of unit to line up the guide / support peg, on the rear of the tacho with the hole in the dash. Ensure by doing this that the harness is successfully routed above the tacho (Shown below right). 33. Refit the upper facia panel. 34. Remove existing vehicle speed sensor from transmission ( x bolt) and disconnect from the harness. 35. Bolt the mechanical adaptor into transmission using a replacement bolt with a 3mm hole drilled in head. 36. Connect the new speed sensor harness onto sensor. 37. Screw the speed sensor into the mechanical adaptor supplied.

11 38. Connect the two connectors (on the opposite end of the sensor harness) onto the existing harness connections (remove cap from single connector). 39. Ensure the harness is clipped back into the existing clip.
