Automatic security in case of hitting an obstacle 3 5 The twin disc centrifugal units 6-9 m DPM 1 : versatility between granules/humid bulk With mechanical drive («wide angle» PTO on the tractor), the DPM 1 features final drive through belts, that absorb shocks generated by the discs with products such as humid bulk. It is also possible to be interchanged with a mechanically driven boom. DPM 2 : «wide widths» with granules With mechanical drive complete with right-angle gearboxes, this unit reaches working widths of up to 18 and 36 metres with good quality granules. Adjusting the ejection vanes (Stainless steel) and the drop point of the fertiliser on the discs produces a good quality spread in view of nitrogen applications on crops for example. It is also possible to be interchanged with a mechanically driven boom. This belt is driven proportional to the forward speed (DPA) without any slip; the SULKY DPA system is equipped with hydraulic controls during work and also mechanically disconnected for safer road transport. Easy use The drawbar is height adjustable; it is fitted on spring blades to protect the machine from vibrations and jolts (increased life and more comfortable road transport). The high air capacity tyres of the POLYVRAC S80 contribute greatly to reducing soil compaction without exceeding the road limit. All products at the required rate Thanks to this 3 speed gearbox, the rate/ha on the POLYVRAC S 120 can be adjusted from 120 l/ha on 24 m to l/ha on 6 m. It is driven along with the 800 mm wide floor belt thanks to the mechanical «antislip» DPA device fitted on the lefthand wheel rim of the spreader. Security and time savings Standard equipment on the S 120 includes the access platform with steps at the rear, the hydraulic jack and also the spring blade suspension for more reassuring road transport with full loads. With granules, changing the spinning speed of the discs provides a more precise setting on «large widths». It's also important to note the absence of greasing and reduced maintenance required. 12 _SULKY DPA SYSTEM Anglais 23/03/09 15:20 Page 12 DPA SYSTEM Exclusive to SULKY : the AXION piloting kit SILVER MEDAL SIMA 2005 This electro-hydraulic kit allows, depending on the level of equipment chosen, a number of different functions : display the real forward speed, the distance covered, the surface covered, the tons spread, the quantity left in the hopper, the current rate/ha setting assistance of the rate/ha (after entering the density and required rate/ha, the control box shows the correct setting) piloting the unfolding/folding of the booms, turning on the booms or discs, the rpm of the motors, the hydraulic setting of the shutters, the boom inclination adjustment (RH/LH together or separately) and the opening/closing of the valves on the boom. automation of the amount the valves are opened or closed in order to maintain high quality distribution in spite of varying forward speeds Unique : the «end of field» button! Disengage the DPA system, lift the booms high enough to turn around without risk, disengage the boom motors : here are some of the functions that can be programmed into the AXION control box to be automatically linked together. In other words, coming up to the headland, the operator has to press only one button. When the time comes to start spreading again, he simply presses the same button on the control box. This «end of field» function therefore protects the booms ; it represents a saving of time and better working conditions. Mechanical anti-slip drive the DPA device controls the movement of the feeding belt at the bottom of the hopper it can be hydraulically disengaged (with security for transport) 650 mm wide, the floor belt still gives very precise rate applications, whatever the quantity in the hopper ; thanks to the hydraulically controlled double shutter (2 DA spools), feeding can be stopped without un-setting the rate on the DPA-XLT quick rate setting thanks to a calibration kit including a universal slide-rule (no calculations to be made) and two collection buckets as standard equipment. It automatically corrects the rate shutter openings depending on the required rate per hectare. The DPB is invaluable as it keeps highly accurate applications combined with improved work rates. This system has many advantages: Spread rate proportional to forward speed: The DPA (rate proportional to forward speed) remains mechanically driven through multi-cog crown gears and a chain, the DPA feeding on the SULKY Polyvrac is insensible to wheel slip. It also has minimum power requirements. Therefore the DPA function is always operational even if the VISION DPB control box is not working. Rate calibration assistance By automatically calculating the flow time on an area covered. Then, all that is necessary is to enter into the control box the weight of fertiliser collected over this area and the rate shutters are adjusted automatically depending on the required rate (the speed information necessary for the control box calculations is taken off the floor belt transmission shaft).
