For reliable dosing of all granular and free flowing materials. PLASTICOLOR Units are used for high precision dosing and mixing of all granular and free flowing materials.

2 For reliable dosing of all granular and free flowing materials. PLASTICOLOR Units are used for high precision dosing and mixing of all granular and free flowing materials. Various materials such as masterbatch, regrind or virgin materials can be processed. A range of five units with a range of different motors and screw/cylinder assemblies enable throughputs from 70 grams to 6600 kg/h to be achieved. PLASTICOLOR Units can operate in either continuous or start/stop mode. All PLASTICOLOR Units can easily be used in and extended to Mixing Stations for the dosing and close control of several material components simultaneously. A wide range of accessories, to suit the different applications, is available to enable ease of handling and to optimise the production process. 2

The PLASTICOLOR screw drives the additive into the main material stream passing through the neckpiece. The short distance between dosing and actual processing eliminates any risk of density separation. 3

It takes only a short while to empty the unit and to clean it. Changes of material or colour can now be effected even faster. Test samples can be taken during production by opening the test slide in the casting (only for PLASTICOLOR 3200 and 4200). An optional air-operated or manual neckpiece slide can be supplied. A special seal assembly is available as standard for all units, thus avoiding leakages of dust onto delicate parts when dosing fine-grained materials. Practical quick acting closures allow a trouble-free swinging away of the motor assembly. Screw/cylinder assembly change overs can be made in a quick and easy way. 4

10 PLASTICOLOR Controls PC 90/03 An electronic control unit regulates the speed of the motor, and therefore the screw, with extreme accuracy. This allows a very accurate setting of each material output to be achieved. The PC90/03 units serve as controls for single PLASTICOLOR Units. All controls are provided with: 3-figures digital potentiometer for speed setting 3 LEDs for RUN/STOP/OVERLOAD alarm output signal for overload illuminated main switch main power supply 230 V AC, Hz single-phase all versions are supplied in the standard plastic box approx. 240h x 120w x 100d(mm) wall fastening type supplementary retrofitting or modification to other types (- 101 to - 501) possible at all times 10

The dosing time is accurately set by a 3-figure digital potentiometer in increments of 0.1 of a second - up to 99.9 seconds. If several PLASTICOLOR units are used for one common production machine, PLASTICOLOR PPM controls or PLASTICOLOR modular controls are used. Please ask for our specific documentation. 11

The units can be filled and emptied during production. If a neckpiece slide is used, no test opening in the centre of the casting is needed. A closed casting is then used for PLASTICOLOR High capacity insert / deflector plate For the neckpiece, to ensure dosing into the main material stream without counterpressure. Hopper slides Allow for screw and cylinder change-overs without the need to empty the hopper. The removable hopper slide even enables a full hopper to be lifted off easily and to be replaced with another. Level sensors For level control in the hopper or the neckpiece.
