4 Enhanced control The S Series loaders are equipped with a powerful micro processor control box, which is part of the Easy 2 System project, the solution of Piovan in the field of resin conveyance. All operating parameters are pre-set, so that the loader be ready for operation the moment power is connected. The loading cycles are adjusted for optimal functionality as well as the automatic filter cleaning function that operates before and after*. Regular operation and alarm conditions are signalled by green and red LED s positioned at the base of the control box. * Only with filter cleaning option A B A Normal operation B Alarm condition The operation parameters of the unit can be personalised with the use of the mini keypad, which allows the following set-ups: > loading time > idle time (generally adjusted to manage the accumulation of regrind for applications with beside-the-press granulators) > VP proportional valve (to adjust proportions between virgin and regrind) > maximum number of failed material loads > filter cleaning function (before and/or after the loading cycle) The mini keypad displays the regular operation and alarm conditions signalled by the LED s. 5 Hopper Loaders S Series Highly reliable vacuum blower The Soft Start function is what increases the life of the vacuum blower. The power supply to the vacuum blower is gradually applied so that the reliability of the most stressed component of a single-phase loader be considerably improved. The micro-processor control monitors the operation condition of the blower motor. Three alarm levels warn the status of wear of the motor brushes, of which the third stops the motor from operating until new brushes are installed. It is specifically suited to convey masterbatch or additives and can be used to feed small tonnage injection moulding machines. With the automatic filter cleaning function, the S40 is the ideal choice for applications with engineering polymers. S40 filter cleaning system

6 Proportional valve The VP Proportional Valve finds application when virgin and regrind materials are to be fed to the injection moulding machine. The mini keypad will allow set-up of the operating parameters for the VP.
