2 Valve controllers for all cases HESCH has the skills and technology to tackle any control task for dedusting of filter and dust extraction systems with fibrous filter technology. From microcontrollers to plant control systems for large industrial filters we not only provide custom made solenoid valve controllers but, on request, also the complete control system for the dedusting process. Consequently user-friendly With field bus supported solenoid valve control systems, HESCH offers dedusting control systems which can be individually assembled to form a custom made system due to their modular design. Depending on the size of the dedusting plant there are very different requirements on process control. HESCH offers a wide range of solenoid valve controllers from the reasonably priced and variable microcontroller-operated HE 5711 to the comfortable dedusting control system HE 5750 for large industrial filtration plants. Efficient and environmentally friendly... The intelligence of the filter controllers has a considerable influence on the reduction of the emission values and the energy costs. We offer the complete automation spectrum, both for new installations as well as for increasing the performance of existing fibrous filter systems. All valve controllers from HESCH feature single valve tests, cyclic cleaning and post-cleaning and their casing versions may be installed in Zone 22. 2

3 Expandable... For some solenoid valve controllers from HESCH the number of controlled valves may be increased from 8 up to 1024 by means of expansion modules. System integration... The valve controllers communicate with the process control over digital inputs and outputs or via Profibus DP, Modbus or Ethernet TCP/ IP (HE 5750). 3

4 Application The pressure transmitter HE 1149 is used to record the system pressure and to monitor the function of solenoid valves by measurements in the pressure tanks. Depending on the measured pressure, it supplies a 4 20 ma signal. Our controllers may also be used for fluidizers. Due to the flexible adjustment of the pulse and oause times over a wide range you can benefit from the advantages of a ready-made control component also for this application. 4 Technical modifications reserved.

5 The differential pressure measuring transducers from HESCH are universal measuring transducers for small and medium pressures. Measuring ranges between 2.5 and 1000 mbar can be realised. Two connection cables are used for the power supply. The feed current is the measurement signal from ma. The operating state is indicated with an LED. The valve controller HE 5750 is a Master-Slave system for large installations. According to the size of the plant the associated slaves required are connected to the master controller per field bus. Each slave controller is assigned to one filter chamber, locally and technically. This flexible concept adapts itself to practically any required number of filter chambers and valves. 6 HE 5711 µp Solenoid Valve Controller Microcontroller-operated valve controller The microcontroller-operated valve controller HE 5711 is used for the cycle control of electromagnetic valves in industrial dust filter systems. The flexible design concept enables the use as PCB version with spacer sleeves, as standard rail version or as separate control unit in plastic casing with ATEX 22 approval. 7 HE 5712 µp Solenoid Valve Controller Valve controller for industrial filters The solenoid valve controller HE 5712 is used for the time- or differentialpressure-dependent control of solenoid valves in industrial dust extraction technology. Up to 8 valves are controlled. The valves are activated sequentially and monitored for overflow and interruption. Errors are displayed on the controller. The controller is simple to operate through symbol labelling and the use of LEDs for status indication and as an adjustment aid without complicated menu structures. The differential pressure is directly measured by the controller; an external sensor is not required. The separately available connection set with appropriate cable glands as well as pre-assembled cables with valve connectors available in different lengths complement the controller. The controller realises numerous control and monitoring functions and optionally can be equipped with ΔPmeasurement and control. The cleaning takes place time-controlled or ΔP-dependent (with optional ΔP-controller) with switching thresholds or pause control. The valves are monitored for excess current (short-circuit) and interruption. Optionally, mechanical valve function monitoring can be carried out with a pressure switch. The device is suitable for use in Explosion Zone 22. P-measurement The solenoid valve controller HE 5722 is used for the time-controlled or differential-pressure-dependent activation of solenoid valves in industrial dust extraction technology. Through the use of a microprocessor a flexible choice of functions is possible, numerous monitoring functions are realised. Besides the cleaning thresholds, two alarm thresholds can be defined. The switching events can be freely assigned to the three relays in the menu. 11 HE 5731 µp Solenoid Valve Controller Valve controller for industrial filters The solenoid valve controller HE 5731 is used for the time- or differentialpressure-dependent control of solenoid valves in industrial dust extraction technology. Up to 64 valves are controlled with the base unit and three expansion units. The base unit communicates with the expansions over a RS-485 connection. The valves are activated sequentially and are not chamber-oriented. They are monitored for excess current and interruption. Errors are displayed on the base unit. The controller is simple to operate through symbol labelling and LEDs for status and differential pressure indications. The differential pressure signal is supplied as ma value; as a result the hose connection is less susceptible to faults. The controller is available purely as time controller in a version without differential pressure display. Accessories, such as the differential pressure sensor HE 5409, the P-connection set and the valve connector with various line lengths complement the controller. 12 HE 5760 Field Bus Supported Dedusting System Dedusting system for industrial filtration plants The system HE 5760 consists of the master controller HE 5760 and the respective valve-i/o-units HE The dedusting process is chamberoriented. A maximum of 6 chambers with 24 dedusting valves each may be controlled and monitored. The number of chambers and valves can be adapted by simple configuration of parameters. The dedusting processes (dependent on differential pressure or time or pause control dependent on differential pressure) are already installed and can be easily called up in the configuration menus. For simple parameter setting and commissioning the PC software 'Smart-Tool' is available on request. The control components are supplied pre-installed in a control box. The valve connections with moulded valve connectors are included on request. 13 HE 5750 Field Bus Supported Dedusting System Dedusting system for industrial filtration plants The HE 5750 for large installations is a Master-Slave system. According to the size of the plant the associated slaves required are connected to the master controller per field bus. In each case one slave controller is assigned to one filter chamber, locally and technically. This flexible concept adapts itself to practically any required number of filter chambers and valves. The system can be configured customer-specific and preassembled up to the valve connector. That reduces the commissioning times and costs considerably. The support is simplified through remote diagnostics and maintenance by means of modem- or internet connection (Remote-Access). 15 HE 1149 Pressure Transmitter Strain gauge (DMS) measuring principle The pressure transmitter HE 1149 is used to record e.g. the system pressure in filter dedusting plants. It supplies a 4 20 ma signal. The pressure transmitter is used for monitoring pressure tanks as well as monitoring the function of solenoid valves. 17 HE 5421 Differential Pressure Controller The HE 5421 is a universal measuring transducer especially for small differential pressures (<100 mbar). The actual differential pressure is indicated digitally with 3 ½-digits. The device has two switching thresholds for monitoring and control purposes, e.g. for the ΔP-dependent dedusting in industrial dust extraction technology. An additional alarm threshold is used for monitoring a maximum differential pressure. The switching state of the relays is indicated with LEDs. The device is dust-proof and approved for operation in Ex-Zone 22.
