5 Training & Support IMS provides extensive on site training during the launch of each dredge system. IMS is committed to never turning their back on the customer and that is why most of our customers are repeat buyers. IMS provides unlimited technical support via phone and for the operating life of the equipment. Emergency visits and warranty visits can be easily arranged. IMS is working to place a regional field service and warranty technician in Indonesia by The technician would take service calls and handle all warranty work locally. IMS is the only dredge builder in the world with a horizontal cutterhead dredge simulator for pre-start-up training. Available exclusively at the factory for all IMS customers. System has 3 flat screens and a moving base that provides real life motion to make operator feel like they are on an actual dredge. Allows new operators to get chair time before starting on a new dredge in the field. 4

7 Canal Maintenance SE Asia Aquaculture The largest shrimp producer in Asia, needed to de-silt their canal system. They had two older dredges which were too big and did not produce as much material as the IMS dredges. Client replaced the two older dredges with 2 x IMS Versi-Dredges. South Buckingham Canal Indian contractor chose a Model 7012 HP Versi-Dredge over several European competitors including the Watermaster Aquamec due to superior performance of the 12 inch (305mm) pump over the Watermaster 8 inch (203mm) pump. The Model 7012 HP is the least expensive and most productive 12 inch (305mm) discharge self-propelled dredge on the market today. 6

8 Canal Maintenance Iowa Irrigation District Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funded purchase of 7012 HP Versi-Dredge for cleaning canals and ditches for irrigation district in Iowa. Dredge sprayed silt 80 ft. (24m) onto both banks of the canal. Reduced costs associated with re-handling dredged material since material was placed on banks. 7

10 Lake & Reservoir Maintenance Canada Two IMS Versi-Dredges restored Burnaby Lake in Vancouver, Canada. Endangered turtles were present in lake. Low turbidity of cutterhead was key to allowing the contractor to proceed with project. The Versi-Dredge originally performed the pilot project over 10 years ago. Project won multiple awards. Imperial Dam, USA A US Contractor used an IMS Model 7012 HP Versi-Dredge to deepen storage capacity at Imperial Dam in Yuma, AZ for the US Bureau of Reclamation. The 7012 HP Versi-Dredge was ideal for the project due to its self-propulsion feature. 9

11 Lake & Reservoir Maintenance Saudi Arabia Saudi Aramco awarded Murjan Al Sharq for Marine Services a 86,000m3 sand removal project at a sea water intake reservoir in Saudi Arabia. IMS supplied the dredge immediately from inventory and had it on a ship to Saudi Arabia within 5 business days. The IMS Model 7012 HP Versi-Dredged operated 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week and completed the job in just under a month as required. Nigeria Nigeria, Plateau State Governor, Jona David Jang, visited the IMS Versi-Dredge at the Yelwa Dam expansion project. He was very impressed with the project. The Versi-Dredge is one truck transportable and that is what made it ideal for this remove project. The standard 9.1m dredging depth is the deepest in its class. 10

13 River Dredging I r a q Photos show 2 of 8 Model 7012 HP Versi-Dredge Systems purchased by the Iraq Ministry of Water Resources. The 7012 HP units are pumping river sand several thousand feet and up high river banks. Units are being used on the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers to improve water flow and capacity. Liberia Client awarded 100,000m3 sand project by Dutch construction company. IMS assisted with financing using deferred payment Letter of Credit. The 7012 HP is pumping 200m3 of river sand per hour. After extensive research the client picked the IMS Model 7012 HP Versi-Dredge over other models from the US, Asia, and Europe. 12

14 River Dredging Brunei An IMS Versi-Dredge is the first dredge of its kind in Brunei and was deployed to combat annual flooding of the Menglait and Kedayan Rivers. Brunei s Minister of Development attended the successful launch ceremony. The Versi-Dredge has increased productivity up to 3 times more than the excavators that were previously used. United Kingdom An IMS Versi-Dredge deepens a portion of the River Thames in the United Kingdom. The was ideal for the project since it could use its Starwheel Drive self-propulsion system to propel itself without disrupting boat traffic. This is one of the first U.S. built dredgers to ever work on the River Thames which is a major achievement for IMS. 13

16 Port Maintenance Pengambengan, Bali, Indonesia The Indonesian Government purchased 3 x IMS Versi-Dredges for cleaning various ports throughout the country. Port of Penang, Malaysia 7012 HP Versi-Dredge chosen by Port of Penang, a repeat buyer of IMS Dredges. The Port operates the dredge 24 hrs. a day as seen in the photos. The Versi-Dredge runs continually without breakdowns. 15

17 Port Maintenance Marina Del Rey, CA Contractor purchased 7012 HP Versi-Dredge for cleaning sand out of Federal Waterway. Channel was cleared for recreational boaters, Bay Watch, U.S. Coast Guard, and LAPD. Project was a complete success and was overseen closely by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Note the large amount of trash collected from the dredge spoils. Danga Bay, Malaysia Model 7012 HP Versi-Dredge used to clean port and bay area. The IMS Dual Broadcaster was utilized for opening the entrance channel to the port. The IMS Dual Broadcaster allows the dredge to quickly open channels without being hooked up to a discharge line. The material is simply carried away with the current. 16

20 Vegetation Dredging Ecuador IMS awarded tender to supply vegetation harvesting machine for dam project in Ecuador. The Versi-Dredge with Weedmaster was able to clear the 2 ft. (0.6m) tall hyacinths weed cover by cutting the vegetation and pumping it up to 1,640 (500m) away to a discharge area. No barges or auxiliary equipment were required. Angola Irrigation Canals Weedmaster Cutterhead attachment used to remove 25 km of dense vegetation from agriculture irrigation canals. Results: Dramatic water flow increase. Roads that have been flooded for decades are now dry. Government purchased a unit after contractor proved the Versi-Dredge worked. 19

21 Vegetation Dredging Ecuador IMS won global tender to supply hydraulic dredger / weed harvester for cleaning Laguna de Colta in Ecuador which is over 2km above sea level. Ecuador s Minister of Environment launched the system in late The system cut 10 ft. (3m) tall reeds and chopped them into small pieces and pumped them several hundred meters away. International Dredging Review did a feature on the project in its Nov. / Dec issue. Thailand DKSH Thailand, IMS Representative for Thailand, purchased a Model Versi-Dredge and did a live demonstration for 200 prospective buyers. This is how confident they were in showing how well the Weedmaster worked in hyacinths removal. 20
