Situation 1.1. With the report at reference, the EADRCC promulgated to National Points of Contact for International Disaster Assistance an initial request for assistance related to a possible emergency situation in Turkey As of today, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary, Norway, Poland and Switzerland have informed the EADRCC of offers of assistance to Turkey. Details of these offers are provided in Annex 1 to this report. Annex 2 to the report provides an overview of the outstanding requirements of Turkey. 2. Transportation Request 2.1. Some of the nations offering assistance are still not in a position to transport their offers of assistance Poland has requested transportation assistance for part of their offer of assistance to Turkey. The Polish cargo consists of 86 Euro-Pallets with a size of 0,8 by 1,2 metres. The height varies from 1 to 1,5 metres. The total volume of the load is approximately 110 cubic metres while the total weight is 19 tons. The cargo does not need special handling and is packed in wooden and cardboard boxes Croatia has requested transportation assistance for their offer of assistance to Turkey. The total volume of the load is approximately 135 cubic metres while the total weight is 28 tons. The cargo does not need special handling EAPC Nations in a position to assist Poland and Croatia in the transportation of the cargo are therefore requested to examine whether they might be in a position to provide, transportation capabilities to assist those nations with the delivery of the assistance being offered, and contact the EADRCC at NATO HQ. 3. Nations intending to respond to the request from Turkey are invited to inform the EADRCC about their offers The EADRCC is in close contact with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Geneva, the European Commission Monitoring and Information Centre (MIC) in Brussels, which has also issued the request from Turkey.
