4 Urea solution AUS 32/DEF Urea solution AUS 32 Picture source: F. B. Silbermann GmbH & Co. KG The reduction of NOx emissions is one main aim of the European environmental and transport policy. The EURO 4 and EURO 5 standards place new requirements on all industrial branches of the commercial vehicle industry, which have to be fulfilled since 2005 and Other countries such as the USA, Japan and China follow this trend. In order to reduce emissions to the specified limit values, HGV manufacturers and suppliers have developed the environmentally-friendly SCR technology. By means of this method of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) the possible emission of nitrogen oxides and diesel soot particulates of commercial vehicles is significantly reduced. The SCR working principle is that the unwanted nitrogen oxides are specifically converted into nitrogen and water vapour by adding ammonia as a reducing agent in a catalytic converter. As ammonia as a hazardous substance is too dangerous in road transport, the aqueous urea solution AUS 32/DEF is used in commercial vehicles, from which ammonia is formed in the exhaust gas system. AUS 32/DEF (ISO 22241) is the technical name for a clear, synthetically produced 32.5 percent solution of high-purity urea in demineralised water. The synthetic fluid AUS 32/DEF is classified into the lowest water hazard class 1. A trade or brand name is e.g. AdBlue. When storing and transferring AUS 32/DEF, extremely high requirements are placed on the quality of parts coming into contact with the medium (hoses, pumps, pipes and containers), so that AUS 32/DEF is not contaminated. These high requirements are fulfilled by all components and systems listed in this catalogue. = registered brand of the VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry) - 4 -

If the Buyer sells the goods supplied under retention of title before payment of the purchase price to us, irrespective of whether the goods supplied under retention of title have been processed, reformed or combined with or linked to other objects or to real estate or ships, then the Buyer assigns already now his claims from the further sale to us with all ancillary rights to the amount of the value of the respective goods supplied under retention of title sold. The assigned claim serves to cover the amount of the goodssupplied under retention of title sold as long as a claim exists under the delivery contract.
