2 Introduction The RigDeluge RD44 Flare Boom Deluge System is the first and currently the only certified flare boom cooling system in the world. Designed in accordance with API 14 G: 2007 API 521 and built to ASME B31.3 standards. To compliment this delivery system RigDeluge also have the only 6 inch and 4 inch Free Flow Nozzles in the world that are again the only certified flare boom nozzles in the world. Both the RD44 and FFN operate with Free Flow Technology the RD44 utilises two debris pots combined with debris traps where the FFN has a self filtering end of line design. These products have been designed through experience, competence and engineering to provide the safest flare boom deluge system on the market. Mitigate the risks associated with current flare boom deluge systems today by introducing the RD44 to your current or future well test operations The current rig cooling boom systems are seriously flawed and could contribute to the death of a well test operator if the operator was to fall off the flare boom while servicing the burner head. If the operator was hung up on their harness they would have a maximum 5 minutes time frame before asphyxiation. A rescue team would have to get past the boom system over the hoses to pull the operator to safety and then possibly stretcher the operator back along the flare boom. If a well test operator had been working the wrong side of the deluge system on this flare boom they would have had no clear run back along the escape route to safety as the boom collapsed into the sea.
