2 WHAT IS OPTL & ATL? In 2006 the option to install Automated Test Lanes (ATL) was introduced by VOSA. Existing MOT stations could then simultaneously upgrade their equipment and reduce labour costs by using One Person Test Lanes (OPTL). The additional equipment required was a lift or pit with a play detector, pedal depressor and a pair of MOT mirrors. All new MOT applications wishing to One Person Test are now required to go full ATL. This also includes a computerised brake tester with weigh scales in addition to the items required for OPTL. Traditional 2 Person MOT testing with the appropriate equipment continues, and new sites may still apply for this. HOW CAN G-QUIP HELP? Survey & Design Are you looking for a new ATL/MOT Bay? We have over 20 years of expertise in the MOT market, so call us and we will arrange a site visit and survey with one of our qualified Sales Engineers. Our CAD office will then produce detailed layout plans for submission to VOSA for your MOT approval. We are fully acquainted with all the current regulation. Civil Works & Electrics We can offer a total solution for your MOT bay. We work with our authorised and fully qualified sub-contractors, who will carry out all the necessary site works. Our builders will cut recesses and ducts for lifts, brake testers and headlight testers. Our NECEIC electricians will provide all the required electrical supplies and connection for your new equipment. (Quotation on request). Alternatively, we are pleased to provide the information for you to pass on to your own contractors. Installation From the moment equipment is delivered to your site on vehicles with unloading facitilies, we will install your equipment speedily and efficiently. It is our goal to deliver on time so you may maximise your revenue. We will provide all necessary certification for you to obtain your VOSA approval. Finance We are able to offer competitive leasing packages via reputable finance companies over 3-5 year periods.

5 LITECHECK2 HEADLAMP BEAM SETTER Litecheck2 Headlamp Beam Setter is specifically designed to meet 2005 VOSA specification and therefore can be used in ATL applications. Litecheck2 is for use in Class 1, 2, 3, 4 & 7 MOT test lanes where there is no testing of HGV. A 3 metre rail is supplied suitable for MOT installation as standard.
