4 ATLAS DESCRIPTION Options & Accessories A3101 THREE BRUSH BASIC WASH EQUIPMENT (Height: 4.60 m) Designed to be a rollover or stationary drive-thru system. The steel frame is hot dipped galvanized, epoxy painted and is guaranteed for seven years. The ATLAS operates entirely on electricity, it requires no air, and is PLC controlled for easy programming and service. Two direct drive motors power the gantry, one on each side. The side brushes are mounted on independent carriages and traverse along two inclined stainless steel guide rails. The side brushes profile the vehicle using a combination of gravity, proximity switches and current sensors. Both the carriage and guide rails oscillate for optimum washing flexibility. The horizontal brush is suspended by a stainless steel cable and counterweighted for a smooth vertical movement along the guides. The horizontal brush is constantly controlled by a four level power sensor that accurately measures the vehicle and insures even pressure by the top brush throughout the wash cycle. Water and chemical are delivered through galvanized manifolds and chemical pumps insure the accurate dosage. Standard equipment includes manual activation, 18 meters of galvanized track, manual frost protection and a 4,60 meter wash height. A m Wash Height Optional vehicle wash height. 5 WASH OPTIONS Y3305 Tanker Wash Brushes - Contoured Contoured brushes designed to wash tankers. PRE-WASH OPTIONS Y3306 Rinse Aid Arch with Chemical Pump (option Y3311 recommended) Additional arch for rinse aid chemical. Can be used for wax, prewash, detergents, etc. Y3310 Fixed Underchassis Wash with Pump (18.5 kw - 22 bar l/min) A set of two fixed high volume manifolds with nozzles directed at the under body of the vehicle. Y3319 High Pressure Side Wash with Rotating Nozzles (11.2 kw, 70 bar, 80 l/min) Machine mounted, rotating nozzles designed to wash the wheels and lower portion of the trailer. Y3313 Automatic Frost Protection Thermostatic controlled system that purges the water system with air after the wash so the water lines will not freeze. This option is recommended in areas where the temperatures are frequently below freezing.

Variable Frequency Drive (only one required) A variable frequency drive is added for multiple gantry speeds. Y3318 Kit for Reclaim Operation Necessary manifolds to wash with reclaim water. 10 ATLAS Description of Operation * The standard is a 2-way cycle. * The machine mounted photo eyes assist the driver in placing the truck in the wash bay, the operator presses the start button, inserts a coin/token in the Coinbox or card. * After a warning signal, the top brush lowers, the side brushes move to the centre and begin rotating. * The brushes start moving over the surface of the truck, while water and shampoo are sprayed. * At the back of the truck, after a pause, the truck wash stops, reverses rotation of brushes and moves towards the home position rinsing the vehicle. * If the OPTIONAL wax or rinse aid is selected, it is applied during the rinse cycle. * 7 Different programs can be selected (see program selections).

11 PROGRAMS DESCRIPTION Wash programs are selected by push buttons, which are located on the remote control box. As a standard, the Atlas includes programs no. 1, 2, 3, & 4. PROGRAM No. 1 Standard For single shape vehicles such as buses, delivery trucks, etc. After positioning the vehicle, operator presses the START button. Top brush lowers and follows the profile of the vehicle. During the forward run, all the brushes wash the vehicle surface and close when the back is reached. When the forward run is finished, the brushes reverse and the unit moves to the home position. The top brush does not profile the vehicle while returning to the home position. PROGRAM No. 2 Standard For light vehicles, cars, vans, etc. (suggested for max. height less than 2,5 m.) The unit completes 1 cycle The program is the same as no. 1. For light vehicles this is the best program, since the pressure of the brush against the rear of the vehicle is not excessive.

12 PROGRAM No. 3 Standard For trucks with second trailer or pup The unit completes 1 cycle. Top brush acts like program 1, but amp senses during complete cycle. The space between trailers is washed clean to a minimum height of 1,5 m. Distance between trailers must be at least 120 cm.; otherwise, the brush can be stopped between the trailers. PROGRAM No. 4 Standard For tractor with trailers Similar to program 3, but the minimum height is different. PROGRAM No. 5 (not included as standard) For open back vehicles (flatbeds) The unit completes 3 cycles. The top brush, after washing the tractor during the forward run, stays in the up position while returning to the home position. The side brushes follow a normal cycle. PROGRAM No. 6 (not included as standard) High productivity The unit completes only a half cycle. The Atlas stops at the end of the forward run waiting for another vehicle to wash in opposite direction. This reduces the wash time by 50%.

13 PROGRAM No. 7 (not included as standard) Tanker wash The unit completes 1 cycle. The top brush, after washing the cabin, is lifted to the maximum height in order to avoid touching the top of the tank. It lowers to wash the rear of the tank. While traveling home, the top brush clears the rear of the tank and is then lifted to maximum height. The side brushes perform usual operations during the cycle. RYKO can supply specially shaped side brushes to better wash tanks. RYKO can offer special programs to meet most customers requirements. DRAWING

The unit then stops and reverses the run until the top brush is against the rear of the truck. This allows the back surface to be washed, cleaning what is probably the dirtiest surface twice. Programs 2, 5 and 7 do not perform searching back. The operator can choose to override the double rear wash during individual wash cycles or on all wash cycles.
