XXXX XXXXXXXX TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: This is to certify that the undersigned surveyor at the request of XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX,, attended the powerboat in and out of the water on the XX th day of XXXX in the year XXXX, at XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, and did survey said vessel for Mr. XXXXXs, while representing his interest as a prospective buyer. The vessel is a Rinker 310 Fiesta Vee, built by Rinker Boat Co., located at 4500Middlebury Street, Elkhart, IN, 46516, (telephone number ), in the year 2002, as hull identification number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. The vessel s approximate measurements are: LOA 34 8, BEAM 11 4, DRAFT DOWN 3 0, DRAFT UP 1 10, and WEIGHT 12,300 lb. The vessel s registration number is xxxxxxxx. This particular model was in production from 2000 to Twin 260 horsepower MerCruiser I/Os will cruise at 20 knots and reach a top speed at approximately 35 knots. The current owner is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. ALL MAJOR HULL MEMBERS, wherever accessible, together with all surfaces, joints, bonds, fillets, webs, bulkheads, and hard curve areas were carefully inspected with particular care being devoted to areas of normal stress concentrations and possible bulkheads or other hard spots. Field methods of sounding and visual sighting were used. Also, the use of a moisture meter to determine the moisture content of the hull, decks, and other areas which could retain moisture causing damage to the vessel. HULL CONSTRUCTION: the vessel was built on a fiberglass modified-v hull and constructed with resin and fiberglass mat. The hull s exterior finishing is a gel coat glazing. 2 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 2 of 26 HULL CONSTRUCTION (cont.) The deck and cabin top was built as a one-piece unit and bonded to the hull at the vessel s sheer. The deck is of a sandwiched core and fiberglass construction. I have noted the following: a) The fiberglass to resin ratio is good. b) The resin appears to have cured well. c) The tabbing accessible for inspection appears to be in good order and well secured to the hull supports and structural members. d) The engine beds are in good condition with no signs of separation or structural fatigue. e) The foredeck is solid and in good, structural condition with no significant delamination or voids. There is slightly elevated moisture around the deck fittings. f) The catwalks are solid and in good, structural condition. g) The cabin top is solid. However, on the starboard side starting at the skylight hatch and running to the windshield, the deck is wet and delaminated (see picture.)

3 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 3 of 26 HULL CONSTRUCTION (cont.) h) The bridge deck appears to be solid and in good, structural condition with no significant delamination or voids. i) The transom appears to be solid and in good condition. I did note a high moisture reading from the interior side of the transom. j) No visual signs of gel coat blisters on the bottom of the hull. No voids were found in the lay-up of the hull. There were no signs of damage, major repairs, or hard grounding. The bottom paint is peeling. k) Where accessible for inspection, the hull to deck seam appears to be in good condition with no signs of damage. l) The bulkheads appear to be in good structural condition. m) The hull stringers accessible for inspection appear to be in good condition with no stress cracks or signs of separation. n) The deck supports accessible for inspection appear to be in good condition.

There is a crack at the base on the port side. Port side base of the radar arch MACHINERY: said vessel is powered by twin 260 horsepower MerCruiser 350 EFI, fresh water cooled, inboard/outboard, gasoline engines. The port engine s serial number is xxxxxx. The starboard engine s serial number is xxxxxxxxx. The engine serial numbers were taken off of

5 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 5 of 26 MACHINERY (cont.) the paper work. I have noted the following: a) The water circulation hoses are in fair condition. b) The exhaust hoses are in fair condition. The exhaust system is double hose clamped as per ABYC standard P sections 1, 2, and 3. c) The risers and water jackets are in fair condition. d) The starter cable terminal ends are not accessible for a proper inspection, so it could not be determined if boots are installed to cover the starter cable terminal ends as per ABYC standard E e) The linkage appears to be in good condition. f) The engine oil appears to be free of metal fragments and no unusual odor. The oil was clean. g) The engine belts are in fair condition. h) The motor mounts are worn down.

The distributor caps have ignition protection. j) The engines are equipped with flame arresters as per U.S.C.G. Regulation sections b & c and ABYC standard P WINDLASS: 12 volt Lewmar windlass with remote. The windlass appears to have been properly installed. The windlass was in good working order at time of my inspection. There is no snubbing line provided. GENERATOR: 5 kw Kohler generator, serial number xxxxxxx, with a sound shield. The sound shield is not properly secured. I have noted the following: a) The water intake hose is in poor condition. The hose is double hose clamped. b) The exhaust hoses are in fair condition. The exhaust system is double hose clamped. There is a kink in the exhaust hose from exhaust elbow to exit port.

The fiberglass muffler appears to be in good condition, properly installed, and well secured. d) The starter cable end is not properly covered. e) The unit is equipped with a flame arrester. f) The generator appears to have been properly wired. g) The generator ran well. The voltage output was volts. The reading was taken from a galley receptacle. AIR CONDITIONER: vessel is equipped with a 12,000 BTU Marine Air unit, serial number xxxxxxxx. The water intake hose is in fair condition. The hose at the seacock is double hose clamped. The air conditioner appears to have been properly wired and adequately vented. The air conditioner did work. SEACOCKS, STRAINERS, AND THRU-HULL FITTINGS: the seacocks are not readily accessible and the handles are not easy to operate as per ABYC standard H The thru-hull

I have noted the following: a) The bronze ball valve for the generator is in good working order. b) The bronze ball valve for the air conditioner worked. c) The bronze ball valve for the head intake worked. d) The plastic strainers for the generator and air conditioner are in fair condition. e) The thru-hull fittings above the water line are weathered and chalky. The below the waterline thru-hull fittings are well secured. The forward exterior strainer on the starboard side is damaged. GALVANIC PROTECTION: the vessel is equipped with sacrificial anode protection. The zincs on the outdrives are in poor condition. The vessel does not have a bonding system. OUTDRIVE UNITS: the hoses are in good condition. The bellows are in fair condition. The

9 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 9 of 26 OUTDRIVE UNITS (cont.) lower unit on the port side is showing signs of stray current damage. The hydraulic pump brackets are rusting. Also, the stainless steel mesh hydraulic lines are frayed. The oil in the lower units was clean. PROPS: X 26p Bravo Three stainless steel Duo props, which are in good condition. When tested, the blades ran out true.

10 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 10 of 26 STEERING SYSTEM: the mechanical steering system with hydraulic assist appears to be in good condition. The tie rod arm, tiller arms, and other mechanical fittings accessible for inspection appear to be in good condition. However, there is some rusting on the tie rod arm threads. Refer to the sea trial for actual operation. ELECTRONICS: the electronics appear to have been properly installed. The vessel is equipped with the following: a) The Standard VHF work. The radio check was complete to Havre de Grace. The weather channel worked. b) The console mounted Lowrence depth finder worked.

11 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 11 of 26 ELECTRONICS (cont.) c) The console mounted mph gauge did work. d) The Lowrence GPS did not work. e) The Danforth compass is in good condition. TRIM TABS: the Lenco electric trim tabs are well secured to the hull. Refer to the sea trial for operation. VENTILATION: does meet all requirements as per U.S.C.G. regulation and ABYC standard H The ventilation system is natural forced air with two inline blowers. The blowers did work at time of survey. The intake hoses are in fair condition. FUEL SYSTEM: the fuel tanks are inaccessible for inspection. I have noted the following: a) The deck fill ports are properly marked as per ABYC standard H The O-rings on the fuel caps are in poor condition. b) The tanks are vented. The vent hoses are inaccessible. c) The fuel fill hoses are inaccessible. d) The fuel feed hoses are type A-1 hose and in good condition. e) The four fuel shut off valves worked. The fuel gauge did not work. f) The fuel filter located by the electric box for the generator is not determined to be UL approved for boat use.

12 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 12 of 26 ELECTRICAL: 12 VOLT SYSTEM - negative ground system with a circuit breaker panel, Guest battery switch for the generator, two Guest on/off battery switches for the engines, and a 20 amp ProTech 4 battery charger, serial number xxxxx. The battery charger's output was 13.2 volts. There are open or expose 120 volt connections at the charger. I have noted the following: a) The vessel is equipped with three maintenance free acid plate batteries. b) The batteries are secured to the hull as per ABYC standard E The positive terminal ends are not covered as per ABYC standard E

13 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 13 of 26 ELECTRICAL (cont.) c) I did not detect any wiring violations and/or safety hazards with the 12 volt system. d) The master battery switch is located in the engine compartment. e) The cabin lights worked at time of survey. 120 VOLT SYSTEM - split 30 amp single phase system with a circuit breaker panel. The wiring does meet ABYC standard E-11. The 12 volt and 120 volt systems share the same panel, but backside of the 120 volt panel is covered. The galley and head are equipped with GFI receptacles. The two 30 amp shore power cords are in fair condition. There is some wear on the female ends of the cords. There were no signs of overheating. FIRE PROTECTION: ABYC standard A-4 Table II states that a vessel 31 in length is required to be equipped with three B-1 type, U.S.C.G. approved fire extinguishers, mounted in the following locations: outside engine compartment, steering position and galley, if equipped with a stove, or passenger cockpit. A lb. B.C. dry chemical fire extinguisher is mounted in the main cabin and a lb.

14 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 14 of 26 FIRE PROTECTION (cont.) B.C. dry chemical fire extinguisher is mounted by the helm. The extinguishers do not have current inspections. The vessel is equipped with one carbon monoxide detector. There are no smoke detectors installed. NAVIGATION LIGHTS: the red and green bow lights and steaming light did work at time of the survey. The stern light and anchor light did not work. BILGE: some water in the bilge at time of my inspection. BILGE PUMPS: the aft bilge is equipped with a Rule 1100 pump with a float switch. The pump is secured to the hull. The pump is properly wired. The pump did work at time of survey. The discharge hose is in fair condition. The midship bilge is equipped with a Rule 1100 pump with a float switch. The pump is secured to the hull. The pump is properly wired. The pump did work at time of survey. The discharge hose is in good condition. PLUMBING: the hoses and lines appear to have been properly ran throughout the vessel. The faucets, drains, and fixtures appear to be in fair condition. The hoses below the waterline are double hose clamped. The Attwood V750 shower sump pump with a float switch and installed in a self-contained unit is properly installed and in good working order. The Flo Jet fresh water pressure pump appears to have been properly wired. The pump did work. The one plastic fresh water tank with a capacity of 40 gallons appear to be in good order. The

15 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 15 of 26 PLUMBING (cont.) 6 gallon Attwood electric hot water heater, serial number xxxxxxxxxxx appears to have been properly wired and did work with no signs of leaks. It appears that the unit has frozen, since the tank is expanded. The aft deck is equipped with a sink and a handheld shower. Both did work. GALLEY: the appliance appears to have been properly installed. The vessel is equipped with the following: a) Single stainless steel round sink with a faucet for hot and cold pressure water. The drain hose is in fair condition. b) The electric two-burner stove is well secured to the countertop. The stove did work. c) The 120 volt Isotherm refrigerator is well secured to the hull. The unit did work. d) The Emerson microwave oven is secured to the shelf and did work. e) The Mr. Coffee maker worked. The unit is installed on the back panel.

16 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 16 of 26 GALLEY (cont.) HEAD: the vessel is equipped with an electric marine toilet with a plastic holding tank and set up for deck pump out. The water intake hose and discharge hoses are in good condition. The toilet did work. DECK HARDWARE: the deck hardware, such as cleats, chocks, and railing, are well bonded to the hull. As part of routine maintenance with in a five year period, I would suggest pulling the deck hardware and rebedding in polysulfide. I would personally recommend installing aluminum or stainless steel backup plates behind all deck cleats.

17 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 17 of 26 PORTS AND HATCHES (cont.) a) The forward hatch appears to be well secured and in good order with no signs of leaks. b) The two small Bomar skylight hatches are in good condition with no signs of leaks. c) The ports are in satisfactory condition. d) The molded plastic companionway door is in good working condition. e) The Taylor windshield with opening appears to be well secured and in good condition with no defects noted. f) The electric lift engine hatch is in good working order. GROUND TACKLE: Plow anchor with 5/16" chain and three strand nylon line. The ground tackle is in fair condition. The ground tackle is properly sized for said vessel. CANVAS: the bimini with enclosure are in good condition.

18 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 18 of 26 SWIM PLATFORM: molded fiberglass swim platform is well secured to the transom. I did note an attempted repair on the starboard aft corner. The telescoping stainless steel swim ladder is well secured. MISCELLANEOUS a) The stainless steel plate that supports the search light is bent. b) The cockpit carpet is in poor condition. The backing is sticking to the deck.

20 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 20 of 26 SEA TRIAL REPORT On XXXX, I attended the sea trial that was performed on the Rinker 310, hull identification number xxxxxxxxxxx, while representing the interest of Mr. XXXXXXs. I have noted the following: ENGINES The port engine reached a maximum of 4,400 rpms, and starboard engine reached a maximum of 4,600 rpms. No vibration or noises were detected. There were no exhaust, water, or oil leaks found. The starboard tachometer worked sporadically. The engines oil pressure gauges read 55. The port engine reached a working temperature of 175 degrees and the starboard engine at 175 degrees. The port engine s alternator charged at 14.0 volts. The starboard engine s alternator charged at volts. The transmissions shifted well, and I did not have any trouble finding forward, neutral, or reverse. STEERING SYSTEM Worked well with no sluggishness or play. TRIM TABS In good working order.

21 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 21 of 26 RECOMMENDATIONS SAFETY ITEMS AND STRUCTRAL ITEMS a) Properly cover the positive terminal ends on the batteries. b) Install new fire extinguishers in the above given location. c) Install smoke detectors. Note that since carbon monoxide detectors have a life of about five years, this would be a good time to replace the carbon monoxide detector as well. d) Properly cover the open wire terminal ends on the battery charger. e) Remove the fuel filter for the generator. I would suggest replacing the filter at least 24 from any electrical device and also the installation of a marine grade or UL approve fuel filter. ABYC standard E states that an electrical component is isolated from a gasoline fuel source if the distance between the electrical component and the fuel source is at least two feet, and the space is open to the atmosphere. f) Repair the 32 point white light.

GENERAL REPAIR ITEMS a) Repair the deck delamination on the cabin top. b) Repair the crack on the radar arch and the oxidation as well. c) Feather out rough areas of bottom paint and touch up these areas. d) Replace the GPS unit. e) Replace or repair the stainless steel bracket for the search light. f) Replace the exterior strainer. g) Replace the lower unit for the port outdrive, due to stray current damage. h) Remove the cockpit carpet and clean the deck. i) Remove the carpet snaps and fill the hole with gel coat to match surrounding deck area. j) Remove the snaps on the cabin top and inject alcohol into the screw holes. Allow to dry and fill with matching gel coat. k) Further evaluation may required on the tilt for the out drives. l) Repair or replace the fuel gauge.

23 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 23 of 26 PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE ITEMS a) Rebed all deck hardware with polysulfide compound. b) Replace all zincs on the outdrives. c) Change the engine and drive oil. d) Bottom sample fuel tanks. e) Replace engine belts. f) Replace the motor mounts. g) Due to the age of the fuel fill hose and vent hose, I would suggest replacement in the near future. h) Rebed the trim tabs and swim platform support. i) Replace the rubber O-rings of the fuel caps.

24 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 24 of 26 SURVEYOR S SUGGESTIONS 1) Install a 30 foot, 3/8 trip line with a fishing float for the anchor. 2) Have the fuel tanks scrubbed. 3) Clean isonglass panels. Use cotton rags when cleaning with a cream softener. 4) Change boots and bellows on outdrive every three to five years. Monitor yearly. 5) Lubricate the seal for the ports and hatches. 6) Use bees wax for the zippers or zipper lubricant.

25 PURCHASE SURVEY #XXXX PAGE 25 of 26 COMMENTS The survey went well, and the vessel appears to have well kept over the years. The interior shows little signs of use and was found to be clean at the time of my inspection. I found only common items wrong with the vessel and nothing to be considered as overwhelming. On the sounding of the transom, I found the transom to be solid at the time of my inspection. However, the high moisture had me a little concern. This may have been from poor curing of the fiberglass or a possible leak. If concerned, a core sample would be needed for further evaluation, if so desired. The fuel tanks are mounted in the bilge and not accessible. ABYC standard H states that metal tanks shall be installed where they cannot be reached by normal accumulation of bilge water in the static floating position. However, this is the way the vessel was built at the time and is no longer a practice in the marine industry. We advise that the bilge be kept dry at all time. CONCLUSION Said vessel is suitable for the manufacturer's navigational intended purposes. With consideration given to the condition of the vessel, optional equipment, current market condition, and the use of the ABOS, Buc Book and the Powerboat Guide, it is hereby my professional opinion that an appraised value for said vessel can be placed at $XXXXX. I would advise obtaining a full disclosure of vessel and an estimate of all repairs before settlement.
