4 Market situation 1. Market situation In today s automation market, servomotors are used in a wide range of applications, but for the most part they are specific to industry sectors or applications. Depending on the industry sector or the type of machine or system in which they will be used, synchronous servomotors may have to be adapted to offer a technological and cost-effective drive solution. The demands made on a market-specific product range for permanent-field servomotors are the direct result of a growing market and its innovative pace. In order to meet these requirements and to enable a wide range of application options, a manufacturer of servo drive technology needs to be able to provide a modern servomotor portfolio that is tailored to the requirements of the application and the market. Manufacturers also have to develop a new generation of motors that will offer a futurecompliant, highly flexible and economic platform. 5 The Product 2. The Product 112 servomotors dynamic, precise and powerful. The new and powerful extension of the servomotors series from SEW-EURDORIVE. As the largest motor in the tried and tested series, the 112 rounds out the range of highly dynamic synchronous servomotors. With peak torques of up to 320, the 112 motor is the successor to the CM112 servomotor series is available in five lengths: S, M, L, H and E Product features The following product features are characteristic of compact servomotors from SEW-EURODRIVE. 10 The Product 2.6. Summary of the features Standard version The 112 motor is designed as a housed servomotor. The shape of the motor meets typical market demands. The edges of the continuously cast aluminum section are rounded to reduce stress in the coating. Compact, space-saving design Highly dynamic features of the series The motors are available as stand-alone motors in the B5 flange-mounted design. The motors are suitable for direct mounting on gear units from SEW-EURODRIVE. The motors are suitable for adapter mounting on gear units from SEW-EURODRIVE. Version with smooth shaft. Adjustable power and feedback connectors are standard with the 112S-M. The connectors are adjustable within a range from Connection type with terminal box (KK) is standard for 112L-E. Prefabricated cables with plug connectors are available. A 2-pole resolver (RH1M) is available as standard. Motors are in ISO class F. Thermal motor protection KTY is standard. The BY brake is a DC electromagnetic disc brake with a large working capacity that is released electrically and applied with spring force.
