13 EVOLUZIONE RALLY RAID KIT - RXV 450 EVOLUZIONE RALLY RAID KIT - RXV 450 ENGINE VEHICLE ENGINE VEHICLE ENGINE RALLY Aprilia Racing offers those who like to take part to desert rallies the opportunity to buy the 450cc engine ready to race and assembled by the Aprilia Racing department technicians. The engine is characterized by a long list of dedicated parts, developed by Aprilia Racing to improve performance and make it suitable for the extremely intense use in long African rallies, characterized by extremely hot air temperatures and never-ending straights ridden at full gas. The new clutch kit with lightweight hub and drum, together with the new disk kit, gives a better feeling and it is more efficient in the worst conditions. The new distribution kit (plates, collets, pads) and the new conrods screws, gives a major reliability and allow to increase the rpm limiter from to A different blow-by circuit gives a better lubrication of the rear cylinder and a major affordability, while the new, heavier, flywheel gives a smoother throttle response to improve traction and rideability on hard surfaces. To complete the kit, aluminium oil tank caps with magnetic inserts to keep metal impurities far from the crankshaft. A tuning up service is also available on the standard RXV 450 engine. By sending a standard engine to Aprilia Racing it will be updated and modified by Aprilia Racing technicians to make it suitable for the hardest desert races. 14 EVOLUZIONE RALLY RAID KIT - RXV 450 RXV RALLY ENGINE VEHICLE ENGINE VEHICLE VEHICLE KIT RALLY Nothing is missing in the vehicle kit to transform a standard RXV 450 into a desert race ready bike. Aprilia Racing technicians have done everything necessary to ensure the very best performance. Starting from the new frame, reinforced and modified to house 4 aluminium hand-made fuel tanks, with internal anti-rinse bulkheads and fast joints, where new, larger and more resistant billet aluminium footrests and new risers are installed. The new front frame houses the completely modified wiring to match dedicated push buttons and dashboard (not included), 2 polyellipsoidal headlights and an oil radiator, while the new rear frame houses an aluminium tools store. Another tool store and a 1,5 litres water tank are housed in the new engine guard, made of carbon fibre as the whole fairing kit and fenders. The new rims have tangential reinforced spokes and reinforced nipples and a new rear anti-jerk, to face any kind of stress. A rotational steering damper gives the best vehicle control even in the worst situations, thanks also to the new carbon fibre saddle. Moreover, a new titanium 2into1into2 complete exhaust is supplied, together with new silicone rubber radiator pipes.
