8 1 Foam modules The Vario range The whole Vario range is designed with a view to developing young children's motor skills. The different geometrically-shaped modules, which join together using a velcro system, offer numerous possibilities for learning circuits: obstacle courses, adventure trails or agility circuits. Each set will enable you to create an endless number of play circuits for the youngest children. All modules in the Vario range are made from high density foam with class M2 fire rating PVC covers. Rapid tensioners allow the cables to be assembled and dismantled easily as well as adjusting their tension. 11 Competition asymmetric bars HELP APPARATUS Spotting rig Provides reassurance to allow gymnasts of all ages to develop with confidence. With the psychological constraints removed, gymnasts can perform dangerous exercises at will, such as releases and dismounts, accompanied by their coach. The pulley system considerably reduces the effort required of the spotter. People with lighter builds are able to assist heavier builds. Can be fitted to both round (high bar) or square (asymmetric bars) GYMNOVA uprights. Offset can be adjusted according to requirements by adapting the length of the cables. 13 Training asymmetric bars HELP APPARATUS Flexi bars Flexi bars help gymnasts to practise and improve their presses and planche-to-handstands. They are ideal accessories and are height and distance adjustable. The adjustability and strength of the covered bungee cords mean they easily adapt to the weight and height of the individual gymnast. They are ideal for working on half twists, full twists, half turns and half turn-to-handstands. In the double configuration, they can be combined with mini-apparatus. 19 Competition beams HELP APPARATUS Beam widener Training aid to fit all GYMNOVA beam bodies. Widens the support surface, to help new gymnasts build up confidence. The widener enables gymnasts to tackle elements at competition height during the initial learning stages. Covering identical to standard beam body; Tactile marker points with different types of foam to simulate the 10 cm standard beam width; 3682 Ref Length 2.50 m Proprioceptio Gymnova has developed the 'Proprioceptio' range of apparatus to train gymnasts technically and physically in order to improve balance and stability. When using the different products, gymnasts are supporting themselves on a mobile surface (suspended stand), which means they are constantly having to find their balance. These tools are ideal for developing balance, strengthening muscles and preventing strain injuries in stressed joints. The equipment is fully modular and be used in various different ways with the products described below: Ref Proprioceptio Balance and stability. Suspended stand only, with thumbscrew knob. Ref Pair of Proprioceptios By adding a beam body, this product allows gymnasts to work on their various hand changes, battements and other supports on demi-pointe. Coaches can work at ground level as well as mid-height or regulation height, whilst maintaining the stability and spring of a conventional beam. Adjusts without the need to move mats or beam legs. Height is adjusted with a retractable lever and marked calibrations. 34 2 Competition springboards 2193 In order to meet changing needs in gymnastics, FIG has devised standards relating to springboards for vaults. 2 springboards are provided in competitions for both male and female gymnasts, one with soft springs and one with hard springs. 54 3 Mats Information on European standards for mats Rules applicable to all manufacturers of sports mats Standard NF-EN sets out a reference framework aimed at protecting the safety of users. The purpose of the standard is to ensure that the conditions of use for school pupils and sports men and women attending sports facilities are as safe as possible. The standard has been in force since June Important notice regarding civil liability Standards are implemented on a voluntary basis (at the discretion of the manufacturer or owner). In the eyes of the courts, they act as a written statement of the most up-to-date industry standards. In the event of problems, it is necessary to prove that the performance of the equipment in question is at least equivalent to the performance described in the reference standard.
