2 OVERVIEW MODEL CONCEPT The goal was simple: develop the highest performing 4-stroke watercraft at a great price. The method was challenging - combine a high-revving, large-displacement 4-stroke engine in a compact, sporty-handling hull. The result was fantastic: the JET SKI STX-15F, an awesome 3-seater JET SKI watercraft that outperforms everything in its category. The engine for the STX-15F boasts a displacement of 1498cc, resulting in impressive power across the rpm range. Other features include high lift cams and a large diameter throttle body. Boasting a maximum output of more than 160 PS, this awesome power plant blasts the STX-15F to the head of its class. For a combination of sporty handling performance and excellent ride comfort, the STX-15F features a lightweight hull and spacious seating accommodations. Sport designed sponsons give excellent grip when cornering. Mounted in the hull is a high-rpm jet pump that makes the most of the engine s impressive output. The STX-15F performs just as well in reverse, thanks to a molded reverse bucket that makes docking chores a breeze. For maximum ride comfort, a spacious handle-to-seat position allows the machine to be comfortably ridden either sitting down or standing up. The styling package is simply stunning and features a sleek hatch cover, aggressive lines, eyecatching colour contrasts and an overall luxurious fit and finish. 3 OVERVIEW THE STX-15F S KEY FEATURES Exciting Styling * Matching the STX-15F s impressive performance is a distinctive design that is decidedly modern. The shape and material of the hatch cover; the mirrors are mounted on the upper deck, giving the machine a lighter look and feel. Attractive colour contrasts accentuate the lines, giving the STX-15F a unique look. Comfortable Riding Position * Standing up or sitting down, the STX-15F has a riding position that is both sporty and comfortable. The handle location gives a very spacious riding position that suits a wide range of riders and riding styles. Four-Stroke High Performance and Impressive Throttle Response * A stroked version of the impressive STX-12F engine, the DOHC 1,498 cc In-line Four uses higher lift cams, an optimized intake manifold, a larger throttle body and a higher revving personality that makes it a performance king. A sophisticated ECU-controlled fuel injection system ensures that every pull of the throttle brings an instantaneous rush of satisfying acceleration. Clean Emissions * Thanks to the fuel injection system, the STX-15F is not only supremely powerful, but also very clean running. Sporty Handling Characteristics * The lightweight base hull comes from the racy 1200 STX-R. Designed for competition, it gives the STX-15F a combination of highly responsive turning and excellent rough-water stability. 4 KEY FEATURES Engine * DOHC, 16-valve, fuel-injected, in-line Four engine displaces 1,498 cc and has a bore/ stroke ratio of 83 x 69.2 mm. Compression is 10.6:1. * Designed intake manifold contributes to increased low- and mid-range performance. Acceleration performance is very impressive. * Corrosion resistant valves are fitted for high reliability in the marine environment. * Narrow valve angles (IN=12, EX=13 ) ensure a highly efficient combustion chamber shape. * Valve sizes are: 33.4 mm intake / 28.3 mm exhaust. * All-aluminum cylinder with electroplated bores is light, long wearing and offers superior heat dispersion. * Coolant water is force-fed from the jet pump. A filter at the inlet prevents debris from entering the system. * Front cam drive allows for an extremely tight valve angle for efficient engine breathing. Silent cam chain reduces mechanical noise. * The short, highly rigid crank offers tremendous torsional rigidity and facilitates small bearing journal sizes for low frictional loss. The forged crank rides in five plain bearings. * Double-walled water-cooled exhaust manifold provides efficient cooling. * Dual sound absorbing boxes are fitted for low exhaust noise while the large-capacity airbox reduces intake noise for quiet operation. Electronic Fuel Injection * Electronic fuel injection system delivers hardhitting throttle response. ECU controls ignition timing and fuel supply to ensure efficient running at all times. * Throttle body diameter of 60 mm ensures quick response and high power output at all rpm. * EFI contributes to ultra-low exhaust emissions. The STX-15F clears the very strict U.S. CARB emissions regulations. * Digital transistorized ignition with timing sensor mounted on the front end of the crankshaft. 5 KEY FEATURES Propulsion * High-rpm jet pump contributes to the 15F s amazing top speed and acceleration. * Oval-edged, 3-blade, cast-stainless steel impeller for strong acceleration, high efficiency and low cavitation. * Easy to operate reverse lever controls a corrosion resistant, molded plastic reverse bucket that offers excellent backing performance. * The jet pump drive-line features a large rubber damper to absorb shock loads from the powerful engine, and to reduce drive-line noise. * Special vanes on the pump inlet smooth the flow of intake water to the high performance impeller. * A cast-aluminum steering nozzle transfers the engine s massive thrust. Hull * A modified version of the 1200 STX-R hull, this lightweight, sportyhandling hull is hand-laminated and features a deep forward section and strakes for reduced wave shock. This superior design delivers the agile handling characteristics that sports riders love. * Injection-molded sponsons give sharp, clean turning performance and a very solid feel when banking. * Large-capacity fuel tank contains 62 litres for all day riding. * The molded hatch cover gives unit a modern, aggressive look. * Positioning the mirror mounts on the upper deck, instead of the hatch cover, also contributes to the sleek design. * Design theme of the hatch cover extends to the handle cover. * Attractive graphics package accentuates the STX-15F s dynamic lines. * Black hull gives it a more aggressive image. * Seat features a 2-tone stitching line that gives the boat s silhouette a sharper image and makes the seat appear thinner. * Triple Kawasaki Splash Deflector (KSD): A lateral strip on the forward section of the hull dramatically reduces water splash, especially at speed and in rough water. * High-performance keel line reduces friction while enhancing maneuverability and rider control. * Hull material is light yet strong Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP). * Integrated flotation cells make the STX-15F virtually impossible to sink. * Sturdy, full-circumference bumper design protects the hull. 2016MY JET SKI STX-15F MODEL INFORMATION 5

Rear of water inlet is smoother for reduced resistance. * Extended spray strip facilitates rear-end grip and bow lift. * Extra-large after-deck eases deep-water boarding and makes it easy to carry larger items. * The handle position results in a very comfortable, spacious riding position when either sitting or standing. * There s plenty of room for three on the long, deeply padded seat. * Covered storage compartment below steering holds small items. Other Features * The STX-15F is equipped with Kawasaki s most advanced steering technology, Kawasaki Smart Steering (KSS). Smart Steering detects the rider s steering input as well as the speed of operation and automatically increases engine speed to provide additional thrust. The advanced steering technology continuously monitors engine rpm to determine if the craft is being operated at a low or high speed. If the speed is low, the system does not operate. If the speed is high, the system will operate, even if the throttle has been released and the engine has returned to idle. * Kawasaki Smart Steering can assist riders in learning to negotiate turns and to manoeuvre, making turning easier and smoother. Experienced riders may not feel the system functioning since they realize throttle application is required during turning. * Smart Learning Operation mode gives the rider the choice between limited power for easier training or full power for maximum fun. Selecting SLO on the dash limits maximum engine speed to approximately rpm thereby reducing top speed to more manageable levels for new riders. Selecting Full Power Operation (FPO) restores normal operating engine speeds. * Multi-function digital instrumentation includes a digital speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, oil level, hour meter, trip meter, clock, and warning lights. 2016MY JET SKI STX-15F MODEL INFORMATION 6
