(LEEL), formerly known as Lloyd Electric & Engineering Ltd., is part of a reputed business in India and a leading system solutions provider of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) for the railroad industry. With our in-house capability to design, develop, manufacture and maintain highly engineered HVAC systems, LEEL today is a well-known brand for HVAC, supplying leading rolling stock and locomotive manufacturers. Our company s strong track record in investing in the latest technology, state-of-the-art equipment and training our workforce on a regular basis has enabled us to attain a leadership position in each of the markets in which we operate. 5 When it comes to developing rail HVAC applications, our company offers the benefit of decades of experience in the research, development and manufacture of industrial coolers and air-conditioning units for the construction business and energy industry. All JANKA railway HVAC equipment is engineered according to specific customer requirements. We offer solutions created with a focus on reliability, easy handling and servicing coupled with the careful selection of high-quality components and materials. Testing is an essential part of our production process, beginning with the concept design and all the way through to the completion of the development phase and delivery to our customer. This enables JANKA to guarantee that all the required performance parameters of our products are met. After-sales service for our equipment within the EU is provided by our service centres based in the Czech Republic. Globally, we provide this service via an extensive network of service companies located in the specific countries of operation. Depending on the location, these service companies are contracted partners or other members of LEEL RAIL SYSTEMS.

With multiple centres of competence featuring cross-functional design teams, we have a solid track record of providing highly reliable HVAC and cooling equipment for all environments. The following case studies offer a selection of examples, demonstrating our depth of experience in not only milder environments such as Europe or the picturesque tourist routes of New Zealand, but our ability to design equipment to operate in the most demanding climates, for example the blistering temperatures of the Western Australian desert, the extremes of North America or the combination of very high temperatures and humidity in India.

10 GE IR Locomotive GE Transportation LEEL Electricals / Noske-Kaeser Rail & Vehicle New Zealand India Indian Railways Diesel-electric locomotive Driver s cab HVAC units In a successful collaboration between group companies Noske-Kaeser Rail & Vehicle New Zealand and LEEL Electricals India, we developed this special low profile driver s cab HVAC unit specifically for GE Transportation s Locomotive project for the India Railways. The project is for 1000 Locomotives, with some double ended resulting in a total requirement for 1700 HVAC units to be delivered over a 10 year period. Noske-Kaeser Rail & Vehicle New Zealand s long standing relationship and experience working with GE Transportation for many years coupled with LEEL Electricals unique positioning, in-country manufacturing capability and support network enabled us to deliver GE Transportation s technical commercial and localisation requirements for this project. The engineering teams of both Noske-Kaeser Rail & Vehicle New Zealand and LEEL Electricals worked closely together and with GE Transportation s team to undertake full design, development and first of type qualification testing and the units are now in production in LEEL Electricals Bhiwadi factory.
