These s have been widely adopted as the basis for light Limited Fire Hazard (LFH) s by the UK Navy and many other Navies worldwide. Limited Fire Hazard Cables are designed to minimise the risk associated with the generation smoke and noxious/corrosive fumes during fire. Def Stan ( 25) Suary Cables manufactured and approved to Def Stan ( 25) use component wires and jackets approved to specifications which independently impose performance limits on the generation smoke and fumes in fire. Def Stan61-12 ( 25) s employ; Component wires approved to Defence Standard ( 18). Within this specification, wires are categorised as Type 1, pliable or Type 2, non-pliable. TE Connectivity component wires, 99M0111 are Type 1, pliable wires. Jacket material approved to Def Stan (part 31) (Limited Fire Hazard Sheathing for Electric Cables). TE Connectivity Zerohal jacket material is fully approved to this specification. Def Stan ( 25) details a specific constructions. Alternative constructions utilising optional component out or specialised shielding are available on request. Alternative constructions use approved wires and jackets and will meet the full performance requirements Def Stan ( 25). 3 Wire and Cable Sporting Information on Cable Construction Colour Coding Multicore Cables - Tables 1(A) to 1(K): 2 core - one Red & one Blue. 3 core - one Red, one Blue & one White. Others - 2 adjacent marker - one Red (pilot core), one Blue (direction core), remainder all White in each er. Where a single core is used in the centre the, it s colour shall be White. In addition, all in a multicore having four or more, shall be identified by means s in a contrasting colour. Multipair Cables - Tables 1(L) to 1(M): For each er the First pair has one core Black, one core Red (pilot pair). Second pair has one core Black, one core Blue (direction pair). All other pairs have one core Black, one core White. Where one pair is used in the centre, the colours shall be one core Black, one core White. Where the consists one pair only, the colors shall be one core Red, one core Blue and not ed. All pairs are identified by means s in a contrasting colour, starting from black ed 1 the first pair. Individually ed & ped Pairs - Tables 1(N) to 1(Q): Each pair shall have one core Red, one core Blue with an overall shield and double mylar wrap. Pairs shall be identified by means ing in black ink on outer mylar wrap. Multitriple Cables - Table 1(R): In multitriple s, each triple shall have one core Red, one core Blue, one core White with the White core ed sequentially in Black ink.
