This day covers not only the machinery set-up but also how to get the most from the Farmsight packages. Once this training is complete, Adam is on hand throughout harvest to help with any Farmsight matters our customers encounter. As Combines are a main product group for us, all our technicians have combine experience & training. But to become a specialist, Andy has Adam Thompson Farmsight Specialist Adam is well known to many customers as our Farmsight Specialist. However at this time of year he is also partly responsible for the second operator training day for new combines about to start their first harvest. The first days Steve is our Sales Support Specialist and is partly responsible, alongside Adam, for the second days operator training. During harvest he manages our demonstration combines and provides optimisation help for all our customers should they request it. To get to this level of expertise Steve has completed days of targeted John Deere combine optimisation training and enjoys helping our customers, so to take advantage of his services please get in touch. 5 RBM Farmsight This month is a big one for John Deere Farmsight as we have three new products being released which will provide large, immediate advantages to our customers when it comes to their precision farming operations. The new Starfire 6000 Receiver The Starfire 3000 receiver was a great product. It was (and still is) ahead of the competition, reliable, easy to use and is great value for what it can do for our customers. The all new Starfire 6000 aims to build on the 3000 s success whilst improving just about everything from day 1. To start with the new receiver is compatible with all current Starfire 3000 harnesses, brackets and accessories which means an easier upgrade for those seeking the SF6000 s benefits. The Starfire 6000 provides a much better SF1 signal (down to 15cm from 23cm pass to pass) as well as providing a brand new SF3 signal and improved RTK at the same time. In addition, the new receiver has a new Triple Starfire Accuracy feature. This means the receiver tracks 3 satellites instead of only one, enabling the receiver to switch seamlessly should one satellite signal be blocked meaning more uptime and no loss of accuracy. All new SF3 Signal The new SF3 signal almost doubles the pass to pass accuracy of SF2 from 5cm to 3cm as well as building 100% accuracy between 3/4 times faster. This means less time waiting on the headland building full accuracy or having to begin work before reaching full accuracy levels. In addition to higher accuracy and faster signal acquisition, the new SF3 signal also provides reliable 9 month repeatability. By using advanced algorithms, the receiver removes inaccuracies which can be found when returning to the same land after time has passed. This should help to make many line inaccuracies a thing of the past. 4G LTE mrtk Modem This new mobile RTK modem provides the current Starfire 3000, as well as the new 6000, with a much stronger signal than ever before. The modem is equipped with two external antennas and can utilise 2G, 3G and even now 4G mobile network signals. Combined with free 14 day RTK extend, this new modem really can deliver the highest industry levels of accuracy reliably no matter where you are. The new modem plugs directly into the receiver meaning switching between products could not be easier or quicker as it is all one complete unit.
