12 PCS100 case studies NKOSSA II Two PCS kva SFC units were commissioned to shift power to and from 60 Hz to 50 Hz frequencies, linking LPG floating storage and offloading vessel NKOSSA II with its connecting production platform Customer reference: I am glad to inform you that the project onboard Nkossa II is now in operation, and the static frequency converter system rated 3 MW is operating fully according to the expectations and technical specifications. 13 PCS100 case studies Armada D1 Application is a little different as the vessel will operate most equipment at 50 Hz from gas turbine generators, but some of the ship s equipment requires a 60 Hz supply Reduces local carbon dioxide emissions Use of shore-to-ship power in preference to on-board diesel generators helps to lessen sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and particulate emissions Helps with the reduction in low frequency noise and vibrations Online article November 14, 2014 Slide 13

14 PCS100 case studies Sibur Gas, Russia Eliminating voltage dips for Sibur Plastic s workshop, Styrene in Russia. This solution is increasing the reliability and continuity of the factory s power supply by 100 percent, and ensuring Sibur s resources are protected Four 330 kva PCS100 AVCs, which were installed on substations that supplied power to the workshop.
