23 Electrification, Energy Efficiency and CCS Summary Electrification is generally economically attractive based on: Stability Maintenance costs Energy Effiency HSE factors Oil and Gas exploration can be executed with substantially lower CO2 and NOx emissions Gives value creation and competencies which are useful for other areas such as subsea systems and offshore renewables Allows a flexible mixture of energy sources suitable for a future smart supergrid.
