1 TURBINE PLATFORM TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS The Turbine Platform is a large cathedral-like space adjacent to the bar and main foyer. It is suited to largescale music events, exhibitions, cocktail functions and product launches. Auditorium Seating STAGE CONFIGURATIONS The Turbine Platform is a large raised area located in the main foyer area of the Turbine Building. The Turbine Platform consists of floor area 9.8m deep by 9.4m beside another area typically covered by the stage measuring 6.1m wide by 4.8m deep. The capacity of the Turbine Platform and Hall can vary depending upon configuration requirements. Some example capacities include: Theatre Mode (chairs) 150 Mixed Standing\Seating Intimate mode 360 (couches & dry bars) Full Standing Mode 700 Please contact Brisbane Powerhouse for further capacity and configuration break downs. STAGE DIMENSIONS Standard Stage Stage depth 4.8m Stage width 6.1m Stage set at 600mm high This configuration of rostrum staging can be removed or augmented at additional cost to hirer. Venue drawings are available as PDF files on the website, and CAD files are available on request. Staging The Brisbane Powerhouse has a limited supply of staging, rigging and height safety equipment available. Height safety equipment required in each venue is provided as part of the venue hire. Additional rigging equipment is available for hire. Please note all rigging must be installed by a licensed rigger. Brisbane Powerhouse can provide a licensed rigger for a fee if required. Additional staging equipment, including soft blacks, rostra and treads are also available for hire. Please contact Brisbane Powerhouse for the complete list of equipment.

2 FLOORING The platform floor is a plywood base topped with tempered Masonite painted grey. The raised stage is comprised of 2.4m x 1.2m sections of corporate stage deck. The raised stage is coated with a pebble finish in black. RIGGING Rear Truss Global F44 box truss 10m length, suspended on 2 x 1 tonne chain hoist Front Truss Global F44 box truss 10m length, suspended on 2 x 1 tonne chain hoist 2 x rigging beams over main platform (contact Brisbane Powerhouse in regards to point and distributed load information) *NB Grid loads are all co-dependant, therefore all rigging must be submitted to Powerhouse rigger a minimum of six weeks prior to bump in so load calculations can be completed. DRAPES The venue comes supplied with 2 x Rear tabs, on track (to cover windows) 2x Divider tabs, on track (dividing the centre of the Turbine Hall) Additional Drapes Additional drapes for the space are available for hire 1 x Flat side wall dress tab with access doors for stage left 1 x Flat side wall dress tab with access doors for stage right These drapes are not recommended for use in larger events during the summer as they reduce airflow to the Turbine Platform. Photos of these dress tabs are available from Brisbane Powerhouse. Lighting A basic lighting rig is supplied as part of the venue hire. The lighting rig is hung from an upstage and downstage truss which is sub hung from a moveable crane. The lighting rig consists of front wash, specials, LED par backlight, LED curtain up light and gobo wash. Houselights are conventional and led fixtures rigged throughout the space. Additional fixtures and equipment are available with prior approval. The system includes a digital mixer and CD player. The system as standard runs FOH in stereo with subs on a mono auxiliary. A limited supply of leads and adaptors are available as part of venue hire. Additional audio equipment can be hired; a complete list of additional equipment is listed in the Hire Equipment list available from the head of production or your BPH production manager. Audio Visual Not included in the standard venue hire but available for an additional hire cost is the following AV equipment: Sanyo 6K PLC-RM150L projectors 16 x 9 HD220 screen (16:9 ratio, both front and rear projection available) 12 x 7.5 HD150 screen (16:9 ratio, both front and rear projection available) Switchers, transmitters and associated equipment Please discuss any AV requirements with the Brisbane Powerhouse Production department. Miscellaneous Assisted Listening System No assistive listening system is supplied with the venue. Fire Evacuation and Work Place Health and Safety All visiting clients, including crew and cast, must undergo a venue specific induction regarding fire evacuation and workplace health and safety. A copy of the Brisbane Powerhouse fire evacuation procedure is available on request. It is a requirement of Brisbane Powerhouse Work Place Health and Safety that closed-in shoes be worn on stage for all site inspections, bump in and bump outs. Height safety equipment required in each venue is provided as part of the venue hire, however touring crew or staff must be inducted prior to its use. All crew working at height must have working at heights certification and do so in a harness and helmet. Page 4 of 5

5 Risk Assessment Shows which are deemed to contain an item or event that may cause a potential hazard may be required to complete a risk assessment in consultation with Brisbane Powerhouse. Smoking Policy The Brisbane Powerhouse is a non-smoking venue. Persons who smoke are required by law to smoke only in Designated Smoking Areas. Insurance Details of insurance provided with venue contract. Loading Access Access to the platform is via stairs or wheelchair ramp Small loads can be loaded in through the carpark. Brisbane Powerhouse has two loading dock facilities. For rear loading trucks and vehicles, the lower loading dock is accessible from the car park and provides access to the Powerhouse Theatre via a lift from the ground floor. Please see below for access dimensions. The upper loading dock, accessible by prior arrangement with Brisbane Powerhouse, provides direct stage access to the Powerhouse Theatre for rear loading trucks and vehicles. The upper loading dock can accommodate a 40 semi-trailer. A forklift is available via prior arrangement with Brisbane Powerhouse for side loading trucks. Please see below for dimensions.
