2 Banners Leeds Town Hall has 2 vertical banners on its façade which faces The Headrow. These can be booked to advertise your event for the week. A maximum of 3 x 1800mm long tables can be accommodated. Box Office A full box-office package is available through the city-centre box office located at Leeds Town Hall. Please contact graham.whitehead@leeds.gov.uk for details. WiFi Leeds Free WiFi is available throughout the venue. The connection will open a browser in which you must accept terms and conditions. Please note that as a council service, some sites and VPNs etc. are automatically blocked. The connection is generally unsuitable for streaming / webcasts, so a 4G solution must be brought-in. Telephones An external line can be provided. Otherwise there is good mobile coverage throughout the venue. Security Please note that there is no backstage area at Leeds Town Hall, so due consideration must be given to artist security. Leeds Town Hall is open to the public throughout the day for access to council services. The building has a CCTV system monitored at the Calverley street reception desk. A minimum of 3 x SIA registered door staff will be on duty for all licensable activities. Showsec Ltd. is our approved security provider. Medical Leeds town hall is located two blocks away from Leeds General Infirmary. In-house first-aiders will generally cover the load-in and build for events, with our approved first-aid provider covering public performances. Site- Rescue is our approved first-aid provider. Parking / Load-in Vehicles larger than 18 tonne trucks will not be permitted to park on Victoria Square. Dispensation can be sought for one large vehicle in the Great George Street loading bay at the rear of the venue. Load-in for heavy equipment is via Oxford Place. Vehicles will park on Gt George Street and cases will be wheeled round to Oxford Place, where a goods lift will carry equipment to the hall floor. There is a passenger lift at the front of the building, which is useful for corporate gigs where most equipment is in GP cases. Small flats can be carried into the hall via the front steps.

No fixing to the stage is permitted. Rigging There is limited capacity for rigging in the Victoria hall. Please see the plan of the hall for rigging points and loading capacities. Any rigging must be overseen by the house rigger, - please confirm all arrangements in advance. Masking A set of black serge drapes are available. Rigged on the house truss, this achieves a backdrop 6000mm from the front of the stage. House drapes are 7m deep x 12m wide. A split on centre can be achieved. Control position Lighting and Sound would usually be controlled from the rear of the stalls. This position takes out rows 27-28, seats Larger touring desks will require more seats to be held off sale. For exhibitions and the like, sound and lighting can be controlled from a control box below the stage if preferred. The first is an open-white top-light cover for orchestral concerts, which includes Par 64s mounted within the acoustic canopy. Please note there is no access to the canopy for refocussing / re-colouring. The second cover is all other events. 6 House Lights The chandeliers are non-dimmable, but are controllable via DMX. Usually houselights would comprise of a Parcan cover to avoid the chandeliers snapping on and off. All in-house lighting is on one universe. This can be tied-into from a touring lighting desk via DMX512. AV A 4000 lumen data projector and 12 x 9 fast-fold rear projection screen are available for hire-in house. An additional fee will be charged. Additional Equipment We work with several local providers to be able to source additional lighting, sound and AV equipment. Please contact the technical manager to arrange a quote.
