Pride recommeds that you perform a safety check before each use to make sure your Scooter operates smoothly ad safely. For details o how to perform these ecessary ispectios, see XI. Care ad Maiteace. Perform the followig ispectios prior to usig your Scooter: Check for proper tyre iflatio. Maitai psi i each tyre (if equipped with peumatic tyres). Check all electrical coectios. Make sure they are tight ad ot corroded. Check all cotroller coectios to the utility tray. Make sure they are secured properly. Check the brakes. Check battery charge. WARNING! INCLINE INFORMATION More ad more buildigs have ramps with specified percets of icliatio, desiged for easy ad safe access. Some ramps may have turig switchbacks (180-degree turs) that require you to have good corerig skills o your Scooter. Proceed with extreme cautio as you approach the dowgrade of a ramp or other iclie. Take wide swigs with your Scooter s frot wheel(s) aroud ay tight corers. If you do that, the Scooter s rear wheels will follow a wide arc, ot cut the corer short, ad ot bump ito or get hug up o ay railig corers. 8 II. SAFETY Whe climbig a iclie, try to keep your Scooter movig. If you must stop, start up agai slowly, ad the accelerate cautiously. Whe drivig dow a iclie, do so by settig the throttle cotrol o the slowest settig ad drivig i the forward directio oly. If your Scooter starts to move dow the iclie faster tha you aticipated or desired, allow it to come to a complete stop by releasig the throttle cotrol lever. The push the throttle cotrol lever forward slightly to esure a safely cotrolled descet. WARNING! Whe climbig a iclie, do ot zigzag or drive at a agle up the face of the iclie. Drive your Scooter straight up the iclie. This greatly reduces the possibility of a tip or a fall. Always exercise extreme cautio whe egotiatig a iclie. WARNING! You should ot travel up or dow a potetially hazardous iclie (i.e., areas covered with sow, ice, cut grass, or wet leaves). WARNING! 9 II. SAFETY Whe you approach a iclie, it is best to lea forward. See figures 3 ad 4. This shifts the ceter of gravity of you ad your Cycloe toward the frot of the Scooter for improved stability. INCREASED STABILITY DRIVING POSITION CORNERING INFORMATION Excessively high corerig speeds ca create the possibility of tippig. Factors which affect the possibility of tippig iclude, but are ot limited to, corerig speed, steerig agle (how sharply you are turig), ueve road surfaces, iclied road surfaces, ridig from a area of low tractio to a area of high tractio (such as passig from a grassy area to a paved area especially at high speed while turig), ad abrupt directioal chages. High corerig speeds are ot recommeded. If you feel that you may tip over i a corer, reduce your speed ad steerig agle (i.e., lesse the sharpess of the tur) to prevet your Scooter from tippig. WARNING! Do ot attempt to corer sharply at high speeds. Whe corerig sharply, reduce your speed. Whe usig your Scooter at higher speeds, do ot corer sharply. 10 II. SAFETY BRAKING INFORMATION Your Scooter is equipped with two powerful brake systems: 1. Regeerative: Uses electricity to rapidly slow the vehicle whe the throttle cotrol lever returs to the ceter/ stop positio; ad 2. Disc Park Brake: Activates mechaically after regeerative brakig slows the vehicle to ear stop, or whe power is removed from the system for ay reaso. Brake egagemet is far more abrupt at higher speeds. It is importat that you kow whe the brakes will egage, ad that you are braced for the resultig deceleratio. WARNING! Your Scooter ca decelerate very quickly. Do ot decelerate or tur abruptly whe travelig at high speed uless absolutely ecessary. If it is absolutely ecessary to decelerate or tur abruptly whe travelig at high speed, brace yourself by grippig the tiller tightly ad platig your feet firmly agaist the floorboard. Users who caot grip the tiller tightly ad/or plat their feet firmly agaist the floorboard should avoid deceleratig from or turig abruptly at high speed, ad therefore should avoid travelig at high speed. OUTDOOR DRIVING SURFACES Your Scooter is desiged to provide optimum stability uder ormal drivig coditios dry, level surfaces composed of cocrete, blacktop, or asphalt. However, Pride recogizes that there will be times whe you will ecouter other surface types. For this reaso, your Scooter is desiged to perform admirably o packed soil, grass, ad gravel. Feel free to use your Scooter safely o laws ad i park areas. Reduce your Scooter s speed whe drivig o ueve terrai ad/or soft surfaces. Avoid tall grass that ca become tagled i the ruig gear. Avoid loosely packed gravel ad sad. If you feel usure about a drivig surface, avoid that surface. STATIONARY OBSTACLES (STEPS, KERBS, ETC.) Proceed with extreme cautio whe drivig ear raised surfaces, uprotected ledges ad/or drop-offs (kerbs, porches, stairs, etc.). WARNING! Do ot attempt to have your Scooter climb or desced a obstacle that is iordiately high. Serious persoal ijury ad/or damage may result. WARNING! Be aware that it may be difficult for traffic to see you whe you are seated o your Scooter. Obey all local pedestria traffic rules. Wait util your path is clear of traffic, ad the proceed with extreme cautio. NOTE: Safety accessories like reflectors, fluorescet flags, ad various lightig packages are available to order from your authorised Pride provider. INCLEMENT WEATHER PRECAUTIONS WARNING! ELEVATORS Moder elevators have a door edge safety mechaism that, whe pushed, reopes the elevator door(s). If you are i the doorway of a elevator whe the door(s) begi to close, push o the rubber door edge or allow the rubber door edge to cotact the Scooter ad the door will reope. Use care that pocketbooks, packages, or Scooter accessories do ot become caught i elevator doors. LIFT/ELEVATION PRODUCTS If you will be travelig with your Scooter, you may fid it ecessary to use a lift/elevatio product to aid i trasportatio. The Scooter is desiged to travel primarily o smooth surfaces such as pavemet, roads, parkig lots, floors, ad driveways. Key Switch (ot show) Fully isert the key ito the key switch ad tur it clockwise to power up (tur o) your Cycloe. WARNING! If the key is moved to the off positio while your Cycloe is i motio, the electroic brakes egage ad your Cycloe comes to a abrupt stop! Tur the key couterclockwise to power dow (tur off) your Cycloe. Speed Adjustmet Buttos These adjustmet buttos eable you to pre-select ad limit your Cycloe s top speed. Press the image of the tortoise to decrease the Cycloe s pre-selected maximum speed. Press the image of the hare to icrease the Cycloe s pre-selected maximum speed. Maximum Speed LED The LED lights up to display the maximum speed you have pre-selected with the speed adjustmet buttos. NOTE: The more gree bars that are lit o the maximum speed LED, the faster your pre-selected maximum speed will be. Throttle Cotrol Lever This lever allows you to cotrol the forward speed ad the reverse speed of your Cycloe up to the maximum speed you pre-select with the speed adjustmet buttos. Place your right had o the right hadgrip ad your left had o the left hadgrip. Use your right thumb to push the right side of the lever to disegage your Cycloe s brakes ad move forward. Release the lever ad allow your Cycloe to come to a complete stop before pushig the other side of the lever to move i reverse. Whe the throttle cotrol lever is completely released, it automatically returs to the ceter stop positio ad egages your Cycloe s brakes. Battery Coditio LED Whe the key is tured to the o positio, this LED gives a approximate readig of your Cycloe s battery voltage level. Gree idicates the Cycloe s batteries are fully charged. Yellow idicates that the Cycloe s battery voltage level is gettig low ad will require a charge soo. Red idicates that your Cycloe s battery voltage level is very low, ad the batteries should be recharged as soo as possible. Ruig Lights Butto This butto cotrols your Cycloe s ruig lights. Press the butto oce to tur o your Cycloe s ruig lights. Press the butto agai to tur off your Cycloe s ruig lights. 19 IV. DESCRIPTION Headlight Butto If more light is eeded i additio to the ruig lights, use the headlight. NOTE: I order for the headlight to work, you must first have the ruig lights o. Press the butto oce to tur o the Cycloe s headlight. Press the butto agai to tur off the Cycloe s headlight. Hor Butto The key must be iserted ad tured to the o positio for the hor to be operatioal. This butto activates a warig hor. Do ot hesitate to use the warig hor whe its use could prevet accidet or ijury. Hazard Light Butto This butto activates the 4-way yellow flashers o your Sport Scooter. Press the butto oce to tur o the flashers. Press the butto agai to tur off the flashers. Tur Idicator Buttos Press the appropriate tur idicator butto oce to activate it. Your Cycloe s tur idicators are timed to shut off automatically. O/Off Idicator LED Whe the key of the Cycloe is tured to the o positio, the gree o/off idicator LED will light to idicate that your Cycloe is powered up (o). Clock NOTE: For safe shippig, the clock is packed separately. Remove the clock from its packig, set the time (see below), the isert it ito its place i the cotrol cosole assembly. See figure 7. Settig the Time The time is set i the same maer as a wristwatch. Pull the crow out. Rotate the crow to set the time, the push the crow back i. Battery Removal ad Replacemet NOTE: If you do t feel cofidet i replacig the clock battery, please take the clock to ay watch retailer to perform this service. 1. Remove the clock from the cotrol cosole assembly. 2. Remove the rear cover of clock. 3. Remove the battery from the clock. 4. Replace the clock battery with type SR626SW. DESCRIPTION TURBO FUNCTION The Turbo mode provides the optio of icreasig the Sport Scooter speed up to 12 km/hr by simply pressig ad holdig i the Turbo butto while drivig a straight course o flat ad smooth terrai. This beeficial feature allows the user to travel greater distaces i less time as compared to the covetioal Sport Scooter speed mode. The Turbo fuctio will egage wheever the maximum speed LED is lit to more tha 3/4 of the Sport Scooter s top speed whe the throttle cotrol lever is fully depressed. Whe the Turbo butto is released, the Sport Scooter the returs to the ormal maximum Sport Scooter speed mode speed of approximately 8 km/hr (depedig upo where the maximum speed LED is set). WARNING! I the evet the Turbo butto sticks or malfuctios whe you try to use it, Pride recommeds that you release the throttle cotrol lever to stop your Sport Scooter. Set the speed adjustmet buttos to uder 3/4 full speed to disable the Turbo feature, the otify your authorised Pride provider immediately. WARNING! Mai Circuit Breaker (reset butto) Whe the voltage i your Cycloe s batteries becomes low or your Cycloe is heavily straied because of excessive loads or steep iclies, the mai circuit breaker may trip to protect your Cycloe s motor ad electroics from damage. See figure 8. The mai circuit breaker reset butto pops out whe the breaker trips. Whe the breaker trips, the etire electrical system of your Cycloe shuts dow. Allow a miute or two for your Cycloe s electroics to rest. Push i the reset butto to reset the breaker. If the breaker trips frequetly, you may eed to charge your batteries more ofte. You may also eed to have your authorised Pride provider perform a load test o your Cycloe s batteries. If the mai circuit breaker trips repeatedly, see your authorised Pride provider for service. 22 IV. DESCRIPTION Maual Freewheel Lever Wheever you eed or wat to push your Cycloe for short distaces, you ca put it i maual freewheel mode. WARNING! Before placig your Cycloe ito or takig it out of freewheel mode, make certai that the key is removed from the key switch. Eve though the motor of your Cycloe is disegaged from the drive system whe your Sport Scooter is put i maual freewheel mode, the motor ca still ru if the throttle lever is pushed. Never sit o a Sport Scooter whe it is i freewheel mode. Never put a Sport Scooter i freewheel mode o ay iclie. The maual freewheel lever is located o the ed of the motor/trasaxle assembly at the right rear of the Cycloe. See figure 8. Pull up o the maual freewheel lever to disable the drive system ad the brake system. You may ow push your Cycloe. Push dow o the maual freewheel lever to take your Cycloe out of freewheel mode, ad reegage the drive ad brake systems. Motor/Trasaxle Assembly (ot show) The brushless motor/trasaxle assembly is a electromechaical uit that coverts the electrical eergy of your Cycloe s batteries ito cotrolled mechaical eergy that drives the Cycloe s wheels. Ati-Tip Wheels The ati-tip wheels are a itegral ad importat safety feature of your Cycloe. Do ot, uder ay circumstaces, remove the ati-tip wheels from your Cycloe. See figure 8. Charger Power Lead Receptacle The charger power lead plugs ito your Cycloe s battery charger by meas of the charger power lead receptacle. Fuses The fuses help protect your Cycloe s lightig, cotrol cosole assembly, ad chargig systems from receivig a overload of electrical curret. The fuses used i the Cycloe are the same type used i moder automobiles. If a fuse must be replaced (see figures 9 ad 10), use oly the specified amp fuse. For more iformatio o replacig a fuse, see XI. 23 V. BATTERIES AND CHARGING Your Cycloe requires two log-lastig, 12-volt, deep-cycle batteries that are sealed ad maiteace free. They are recharged by a oboard 3-amp chargig system. Charge your Cycloe s batteries prior to usig it for the first time. Keep the batteries fully charged to keep your Sport Scooter ruig smoothly. READING YOUR BATTERY VOLTAGE The battery coditio LED o the cotrol cosole assembly idicates the approximate stregth of your batteries usig a color coded LED. See figure 11. Gree idicates fully charged batteries, yellow a draiig charge, ad red idicates that a immediate recharge is ecessary. To check the charge, you must first uplug the charger power lead ad power up your Sport Scooter. You ca also check the charge by the ammeter, located o the electroics module. The charger power lead must be plugged ito a stadard wall outlet i order to obtai a readig. Whe the amperage readig is at or ear zero (0) amps, chargig is complete. See figure 12. FIGURE 11. Positio your Sport Scooter close to a stadard wall outlet. 2. Remove the key from the key switch. 3. Make certai that the freewheel lever is i the drive (dow) positio. 4. Plug the charger power lead ito the charger power lead receptacle o your Sport Scooter. 5. Exted the charger power lead ad plug it ito the wall outlet. It is recommeded that you charge your batteries for 8 to 14 hours. WARNING! Never use a extesio lead to plug i your battery charger. Plug the charger directly ito a properly wired stadard wall outlet. 6. 24 V. BATTERIES AND CHARGING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS) How does the charger work? Whe your Cycloe s battery voltage is low, the charger works harder, sedig more electrical curret to the batteries to brig up their charge. As the batteries approach a full charge, the charger seds less ad less electrical curret. Whe the batteries are fully charged, the curret set from the charger is at early zero amperage. Therefore, whe the charger is plugged i, it maitais the charge o your Cycloe s batteries, but does ot overcharge them. We do ot recommed that you charge your Cycloe s batteries for more tha 24 cosecutive hours. What if my Cycloe s batteries wo t charge? Esure that the battery cables are coected properly. Esure that both eds of the charger power lead are iserted fully. Examie the 5-amp charger fuse. If the fuse is blow, the batteries will ot charge. See figures 9 ad 10. Ca I use a differet charger? For the safest, most efficiet, ad balaced chargig of your Cycloe s batteries, we prefer ad highly recommed simultaeous chargig of both batteries with the oboard battery charger. How ofte must I charge the batteries? Two major factors must be cosidered whe decidig how ofte to charge your Cycloe s batteries: All day Sport Scooter use o a daily basis. Ifrequet or sporadic Sport Scooter use. With these cosideratios i mid, you ca determie how ofte ad for how log you should charge your Cycloe s batteries. We desiged the oboard charger so that it will ot overcharge your Sport Scooter s batteries. However, you may ecouter some problems if you do ot charge your batteries ofte eough ad if you do ot charge them o a regular basis. Followig the five guidelies below will provide safe ad reliable battery operatio ad chargig. If you use your Cycloe daily, charge its batteries as soo as you fiish usig it for the day. Your Cycloe will be ready each morig to give you a full day of service. We recommed that you charge your Cycloe s batteries for 8 to 14 hours after daily use. If you use your Cycloe oce a week or less, charge its batteries at least oce a week for 12 to 14 hours at a time. Keep your Cycloe s batteries fully charged. Avoid deeply dischargig your Cycloe s batteries. Do ot charge your Cycloe s batteries for more tha 24 cosecutive hours. 24 Cycloe

Ofte, you will face hills, pavemet cracks, ueve ad loosely packed surfaces, curves, ad wid, all of which affect the distace or ruig time per battery charge. How ofte the Turbo butto is used also affects your overall battery rage. Below are a few suggestios for obtaiig the maximum rage per battery charge. Always fully charge your Cycloe s batteries prior to daily use. Maitai psi (pouds per square ich) i each tyre. Pla your route ahead to avoid as may hills, cracked, broke, or soft surfaces as possible. Limit your baggage weight to essetial items. Try to maitai a eve speed while your Cycloe is i motio. Avoid stop-ad-go drivig. What type ad size of battery should I use? We recommed deep-cycle batteries that are sealed ad maiteace free. Both sealed lead-acid ad gel cell are deep-cycle batteries that are similar i performace. Do ot use wet-cell batteries, which have removable caps. CAUTION! Do ot remove the caps from sealed batteries. Water caot be added to sealed batteries. Cap removal voids the battery warraty ad may cause damage to the batteries ad to your Cycloe. Fresh batteries arrive daily at Pride ad are shipped fully charged to our customers. Durig shippig, the batteries may ecouter temperature extremes that ca ifluece their iitial performace. Heat dimiishes the charge o the battery; cold slows the available power ad exteds the time eeded to recharge the battery. It may take a few days for the temperature of your Cycloe s batteries to stabilize ad adjust to their ew room or ambiet temperature.more importatly, it takes a few chargig cycles (partial draiig followed by full rechargig) to establish the critical chemical balace that is essetial to a deep-cycle battery s peak performace ad log life. Follow these steps to properly break-i your Cycloe s ew batteries for maximum efficiecy ad service life. 1. Fully recharge ay ew battery prior to its iitial use. This chargig cycle brigs the battery up to about 88% of its peak performace level. 2. Operate your ew Cycloe i familiar ad safe areas. Drive slowly at first, ad do ot travel too far from your home or familiar surroudigs util you have become accustomed to your Cycloe s cotrols ad have properly broke i your Sport Scooter s batteries. 3. Fully recharge the batteries. They should be at over 90% of their peak performace level. 4. Operate your Cycloe agai. 5. Fully recharge the batteries agai. 6. After four or five chargig cycles, the batteries are able to receive a charge of 100% of their peak performace level ad are able to last for a exteded period of time. How ca I esure maximum battery life? Fully charged deep-cycle batteries provide reliable performace ad exteded battery life. Keep your Cycloe s batteries fully charged wheever possible. Batteries that are regularly ad deeply discharged, ifrequetly charged, or stored without a full charge may be permaetly damaged, causig ureliable performace ad limited service life. How should I store my Cycloe ad its batteries? If you pla o ot usig your Cycloe for a exteded period of time, it is best to: Fully charge its batteries prior to storage. Discoect the battery haresses from the electroics module. Store your Cycloe i a warm, dry eviromet. Avoid storig your Cycloe where it will be exposed to temperature extremes. WARNING! If your Cycloe s batteries do become froze, do ot attempt to charge them. Cold or froze batteries should be allowed to warm up for several days prior to rechargig. For prologed storage, you may wish to place several boards uder the frame of your Cycloe to raise the Sport Scooter off of the groud. Never leave the maual freewheel lever pulled up uless you are maually pushig your Cycloe. GETTING ON YOUR CYCLONE 1. Make certai that the key is removed from the key switch. 2. Stad at the side of your Cycloe. 3. Push dow o the seat rotatio lever ad rotate the seat util it is facig you. 4. Make certai that the seat is locked securely i positio. 5. Positio yourself comfortably ad securely i the seat. 6. Push dow o the seat rotatio lever ad rotate the seat util you are facig forward. 7. Make certai that the seat is locked securely i positio. 8. Make certai that your feet are safely o the floorboard. PRE-RIDE ADJUSTMENTS AND CHECKS Are you positioed comfortably i the seat? See Gettig O Your Cycloe, above. Is the seat at the proper height? See VII. Comfort Adjustmets. Is the seat locked securely i place? See VII. Comfort Adjustmets. Is the tiller hadle at a comfortable settig ad locked securely i place? See VII. Comfort Adjustmets. Is the key fully iserted ito the key switch ad i the o positio? See IV. Descriptio. Is the maximum speed LED set to a slow settig? See IV. Descriptio. Are you graspig the hadgrips with a thumb restig o each side of the throttle cotrol lever? See IV. Descriptio. Is the Turbo ready idicator LED workig? While the Scooter is statioary, tur the tiller to more tha oe-eighth (1/8) of a tur to the left ad right the Turbo ready idicator LED should ot be lit whe i these positios. Retur the tiller to the ceter (straight ahead) positio the Turbo ready idicator LED should illumiate. Does your Cycloe s hor work properly? Is your proposed path clear of people, pets, ad obstacles? Have you plaed your route to avoid adverse terrai ad as may iclies as possible? OPERATING YOUR CYCLONE After plaig your route: Adjust the maximum speed LED o the cotrol cosole assembly to your desired speed. Press your thumb agaist the appropriate throttle cotrol lever. The electric brake automatically disegages ad the Cycloe accelerates smoothly to the speed you preselected with the speed adjustmet buttos, which is displayed o the maximum speed LED. Cycloe 27

28 VI. OPERATION WHETHER YOU ARE DRIVING FORWARD OR IN REVERSE Pull o the left hadgrip to steer your Cycloe to the left. Pull o the right hadgrip to steer your Cycloe to the right. Move the tiller to the ceter positio to drive straight ahead. Release the throttle cotrol lever to decelerate ad come to a complete stop. The electric brake automatically egages whe your Cycloe comes to a stop. NOTE: The rear-wheel drive trasaxle gives your Cycloe maximum tractio with miimal steerig effort o your part. GETTING OFF OF YOUR CYCLONE 1. Brig your Cycloe to a complete stop. 2. Make certai that the key is tured (couterclockwise) to the off positio. 3. Pull up o the seat rotatio lever ad rotate the seat util you are facig toward the side of your Cycloe. 4. Make certai that the seat is locked securely i positio. 5. Carefully ad safely get out of the seat ad stad to the side of your Cycloe. 6. You may leave the seat facig to the side to facilitate boardig your Cycloe the ext time you pla to operate it. 28 Cycloe

29 VII. COMFORT ADJUSTMENTS TILLER ANGLE ADJUSTMENT WARNING! Remove the key from the key switch before adjustig the tiller. Never attempt to adjust the tiller while the Scooter is i motio. Your Cycloe is equipped with a ergoomically ehaced pivotig tiller that keeps the cosole cotrols at your figertips regardless of the tiller agle. 1. Pull up o the tiller adjustmet lever. See figure Move the tiller to a comfortable positio. 3. Release the tiller adjustmet lever. The tiller will remai i the positio you selected. NOTE: I order to lower the tiller to the Scooter deck, you must first remove the seat, rear shroud, ad both batteries. See VIII. Disassembly ad Assembly. SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT The seat ca be repositioed to oe of five differet heights. 1. Remove the seat from your Cycloe. See VIII. Disassembly ad Assembly. 2. Use the attached rig to pull ad remove the ball detet pi from the lower seat post. See figure Raise or lower the seat pedestal to the desired seat height. 4. Hold the seat pedestal at that height ad match up the holes i the seat pedestal ad i the lower seat post. 5. Fully isert the ball detet pi. 6. Replace the seat. FRONT-TO-BACK SEAT ADJUSTMENT The Cycloe is equipped with a slidig seat that is operated like a automobile seat. You ca repositio the Cycloe s seat forward or rearward. 1. Pull out the frot-to-back seat release lever. See figure Move the seat forward or rearward. 3. Release the frot-to-back seat release lever. SEAT ROTATION The seat lock lever locks the seat i oe of four positios. 1. Push dow o the seat lock lever to ulock the seat. See figure Rotate the seat to the desired positio. 3. 30 VII. COMFORT ADJUSTMENTS ARMREST WIDTH ADJUSTMENT The Cycloe s armrest width ca be adjusted iward or outward. To adjust armrest width: 1. Loose the armrest adjustmet kobs at the back of the seat frame. See figure Slide the armrests i or out to the desired width. 3. Tighte the armrest adjustmet kobs. The armrests ca also be lifted upward to aid i moutig ad dismoutig your Cycloe. ARMREST HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT Refer to figure 16 whe adjustig the armrest height. HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT TUBE SETSCREW ACORN NUT ARMREST UPRIGHT ARMREST ADJUSTMENT KNOB FIGURE 16. ARMREST HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT You will eed the followig tools to adjust the height of the armrests: 5/32-i. hex key 1/8-i. hex key 7/16-i. wrech To adjust armrest height: 1. Loose the setscrew o the side of the height adjustmet tube with the 1/8-i. hex key. See figure Loose ad remove the acor ut ad screw holdig the height adjustmet tube i place. 3. Raise or lower the height adjustmet tube to the desired height. 4. Alig the holes i the adjustmet tube with the holes i the armrest upright. 5. Isert the screw through the holes i both the height adjustmet tube ad the armrest upright. 6. Istall ad tighte the acor ut. 7. Tighte the setscrew o the side of the height adjustmet tube. 8. Repeat for the other armrest. 30 Cycloe

31 VII. COMFORT ADJUSTMENTS SEATBACK ADJUSTMENT The seatback may be positioed at four differet agles: 90, 100, 102 ad 105. See figure 16A. To adjust the seatback agle: 1. Loose ad remove the adjustmet screw from the seatback hige o both sides of the seat. 2. Repositio the seatback to the desired agle. 3. Alig the adjustmet holes i the upper ad lower hige, so the adjustmet screw ca easily pass through. 4. Reisert both adjustmet screws ad tighte. UPPER HINGE 100 ADJUSTMENT HOLE ADJUSTMENT SCREW 102 ADJUSTMENT HOLE 105 ADJUSTMENT HOLE 90 ADJUSTMENT HOLE LOWER HINGE FIGURE 16A. SEATBACK HINGE POWER SEAT ACTUATOR (OPTIONAL) Your Cycloe may be equipped with a power seat actuator, which raises ad lowers the seat automatically. See figure 17. POWER SEAT ACTUATOR WARNING! The power seat mechaism is iteded for operatio oly while the vehicle is statioary ad o a level surface. Its purpose is to aid you i reachig objects. Strict adherece to the followig safety rules is vital to your safety: Do ot attempt to raise or lower the seat while i motio! Do ot operate your Sport Scooter with the power seat elevated. 32 VIII. DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY No tools are required to disassemble or assemble your Cycloe. Always disassemble or assemble your Cycloe o a level, dry surface with sufficiet room for you to work ad move aroud your Sport Scooter. Keep i mid that the disassembled sectios of the Cycloe take up more floor space tha the assembled Cycloe. DISASSEMBLY You ca disassemble the Cycloe ito seve pieces: the seat, the frot sectio, the rear sectio, the rear shroud, the basket, ad the batteries. Place the Sport Scooter i a area where you have sufficiet clearace to move the parts aroud. You eed about oe or two meters i all directios. You may eed assistace to lift some of the Sport Scooter compoets. See III. Specificatios for idividual compoet weights. Before begiig disassembly, place the maual freewheel lever i the drive (dow) positio. Also, coil the charger power lead ad store it i the rear charger power lead storage compartmet. See figure 8. WARNING! If you believe that liftig ay compoet of the Cycloe is beyod your physical capability, have someoe with ample stregth lift it for you. See III. Specificatios for Scooter compoet weights. 1. Pull up o the seat rotatio lever to ulock the seat. Rotate the seat oe-eighth (1/8) of a tur, ad lift the seat up ad off the Cycloe. See figure Getly lift the rear shroud off of the Cycloe. See figure Discoect the battery tie-dow straps (if so equipped). 4. Uplug both black ad white 2-pi battery haresses. See figure Uplug the frot-to-rear haress that coects the cotrol cosole assembly to the electroics module. See figure Lift both batteries from the Cycloe. See figure 22. CAUTION! Failure to uplug both battery haresses ad the frot-to-rear haress prior to disassembly could result i damage to the Cycloe. 7. Push the lockig cam levers forward ad remove the ball detet pis. See figures 23 ad Getly slide the two sectios of the Sport Scooter apart. See figure Grab the hadle grip o the tiller, pull upward o the tiller adjustmet lever, ad getly lower the tiller dow to the Cycloe chassis. Tilt the rear sectio to a horizotal positio ad isert the loger tube of the frot sectio ito the rear sectio first; make sure that the lockig cam levers are i the ulocked (vertical) positio ad the ball detet pis are removed. 4. Slide the two sectios of the uit together util the frot half reaches its isertio limit. 5. Secure the frot ad rear sectios with the ball detet pis. 6. Push the frame lock levers back to their locked (dowward) positio. 7. Plug the frot-to-rear haress ito the matig plug foud o the electroics module. 8. Put the batteries i place ad plug the black ad white 2-pi battery haresses ito the electroics module. 9. Recoect the battery tie-dow straps (if so equipped). 10. Getly place the rear shroud over the seat post. 11. Lower the shroud ito place. 12. Carefully lift the seat ad slide the seat platform (o the seat bottom) oto the seat post. 13.
