2 Type B-A Switch B-A Applicatio The leavelad/price B-A is a three-pole, group-operated, alumium ceter break switch for istallatio i substatio or trasmissio lie locatios. The switch ca be mouted i the horizotal upright, vertical, or horizotal uderhug positios. The B-A is suitable for use i a variety of applicatios icludig lie discoectig ad sectioalizig, circuit breaker bypass ad isolatio, ad trasformer isolatio. Arc hors or quick break whips ca be supplied whe small amouts of trasformer magetizig currets or lie chargig currets must be iterrupted. Accessories ad optios eeded to adapt the switch to a customer s particular requiremets are available. The B-A may be operated maually by use of a swig hadle or wormgear mechaism, or electrically operated by use of a type TP-2 or BT-T motor operator. The B-A meets applicable NEMA ad IEEE Stadards ad the ratig requiremets of applicable IE Stadards. B-A Features The B-A cotiues the leavelad/price traditio of desigig simple, depedable switches without the use of castigs. Kowledge gaied from workig with customers to idetify ad solve geeral switch problems has played a major part i refiig the B-A. Jaw cotacts have a log cotact wipe surface to accommodate isulator movemet. Ti-plated copper termial pads that ca accept termial coectors o three surfaces Alumium to ti-plated copper bolted coectios. All bolted cotact surfaces are prepared ad treated with a oxide ihibitor. Movig cotacts are silver-to-silver with a hard-draw, high-coductivity copper base material. Special hige desig supports high catilever termial loads while maitaiig low pivot force leavelad/price has a very basic approach to desig... keep it simple. We apply this approach from material selectio to mechaical desig. All leavelad/price B-A ad B-AV switch curret-carryig parts are fabricated from high-stregth, high-coductivity alumium or copper. Switch performace is ot compromised by flaws that could occur i the castig process. To assure product quality, all icomig material is tested for coductivity ad compositio verificatio. Every curret carryig part is made i the Uited States at the leavelad/price maufacturig facility for maximum quality cotrol.

Not oly are the iterphase ad drive pipes of the operatig mechaism supplied with adjustable threaded rod eds, the drive lever has a threaded adjustable radius as well. No special tools are required.
