Of the total number of vehicles sold during the said 5 months (36,948) 3,098 vehicles only were locally assembled. President El Sisi praising the cooperation with Poly Group of China in the field of electric driven vehicles, electric charging solutions & related rubber tires. That was reported in the media indicating the project extends to an integrated solution for the vehicles electric charging, also the production and servicing of related rubber tires. Development also tie in other electrified high speed mass transport projects planned/ alternatively under implementation. To which extent the above would affect adjusting earlier plans on the conversion of passenger and commercial vehicles to operate with natural gas, that remains to be seen.
