1 2004 VORTEX ENGINES After its several victories at an international level, among which 8 World Titles and the European Champion Title in FA in 2003, Vortex, always looking for new solutions and products, has further increased its range with 3 new 2004 homologated racing engines, highly competitive and of great performances.
2 RVA ENGINE RVA is the new VORTEX engine for the ICA and FA classes, it comes from the experience and from the successes of the VLB/W model just being an engine completely new. The principle innovation lies in the cylinder, with new exhaust ports and transfer ducts and with a new reported liner. The water cooling chamber is completely different, in the shape and in the volumes, in order to obtain a better cooling in the parts thermically more stressed and a more constant inner temperature. The head fixing is now separate from that of the cylinder, improving the seal and permitting more linear expansions. The head itself is totally new, in the shape, in the characteristics of the combustion chamber and in the characteristics of the water chamber. The new crankcase sees increased its own characteristics of strength, and has been extended its surface of thermic exchange in order to obtain a good cooling. All of this has taken to a considerable performance increase, and it constitutes a good starting basis for the continuous development to which will be submitted the engine race from race - Engine 100 cc. - Liquid cooling - Reed valve inlet in the crankcase - Three transfer ports distribution - Oval exhaust port with 2 boosters - Radial bearings C 4 - Coated piston - L type piston ring with special coating - PVL coil and spark plug cap
3 VAD ENGINE Totally new is also the VA/D engine, dedicated to the Junior class. It has been maintained the enviable thermic balance that already distinguished the VA/B engine, obtained after years of studies and tests. New are the characteristics of the combustion chamber, new is the reported liner, completely new are the transfer ducts as well as the one of exhaust and aspiration, equipped, this last, also of a new inclination. Also the crankcase has been imagined to increase the strength and to obtain a better cooling. The whole innovations introduced in this project has determined, from immediately, an increase of the performances all along the power curve, more sensible at the bottom speeds. This makes the engine always more suitable to the driving characteristics of each driver. - Engine 100 cc. - Air cooling with side wings - Cylinder inlet - 4 transfer ports - Squared exhaust port - PVL coil and spark plug cap - Exid dry clutch homologation 343/E/09
4 125 RVS ENGINE The innovations introduced in the 125 RVS engine, still make more competitive the VORTEX product dedicated to the ICC and SICC classes, product that has already shown its high performance level during the SICC world cup of the last year. The engine has been equipped with a new reed valve pyramid, new is the crank chamber shape interested from the gas flux, and are fruit of a new design also the exhaust ports and transfer ducts. New and more performance is also the exhaust installation, decisive component of the performances. These characteristics merge with the gearbox, the dry clutch with damper, and the other peculiarities typical of the VORTEX 125cc crankcase.
