Airport Requena (near VAS) may not be appropriate (Hangars for a/c and payload maintenance), to be further investigated, or use Valencia airport Secure Access to DLR Airport in Oberpfaffenhofen, DLR Scientists need to lobby/inform DLR Airport Operations/Logistics Manager. IMPORTANT

Use the same sites in Bavaria (Danube), Rur and Valencia Flights over the FINO platform are considered, Perform regular flights with Skyvan and EMIRAD / HUT-2D during SMOS overflight, Perform the same flights patterns as in Rehearsal, and have multiple flight types to achieve several validation types survey 1 pixel?

15 2009: The Validation of SMOS, DOMEX-2 Page 15 Campaign at DOME-C, Antarctica Has been postponed by 1 year to be in phase with the launch of SMOS, Close cooperation between ESA/Techical Directorate and IFAC for upgrade of instrument and prepare for the Arctic Winter Campaign, IFAC submitted new proposal to Concordia Steering Board for experiment until Data acquisition planned for 1 year minimum
