2 Items Discussed BOD Meeting Minutes April 24, 2010 Chris Beiter, President, called the meeting to order at 9:35AM at the Zellwood Track. Frank Paulhamus was not in attendance, therefore no Treasurers report. Rule Changes: V-8: o Eliminate the RPM rule Will Read Safe RPM o Eliminate the Hand cut tires only Will read Hand or Machine Cut o No engine driven fans allowed over 3,000 RPMS o Factory Heads only o Eliminate no electric boxes Rule Changes: Mini-rods: o Harmonic Balancer needs a guard o Full fire suit required to include; Gloves, boots, helmet, and neckbrace. Rule Changes: All Modified Classes: o Driver must be 16 years of age, with a valid Driver s License o If driver is 16 without a valid Driver s License they will be test inspected. ***Rule Changes will be discussed at the General Meeting in July and effective for our September pull**** Items Discussed- to be revisited PPL Pull We have a tentative date of 10/02/10 to host the Southern Pullers points pull. Board is discussing whether or not this is a viable endeavor for the club for the 2010 season, as we would need to actively pursue sponsorship money in an economy is not favorable for this type of funding. The potential benefits to the club are: o Additional income (We keep the gate and all hook fees) o Additional exposure of the Club to more pullers and spectators o The Potential to make our track an Annual Pull for the PPL Schedule PPL total cost to host the pull would be $13,500- if each member of the club could get one $ sponsor we would have enough to cover the pull. 3 BOD Meeting Minutes May 22, 2010 Chris Beiter, President, called the meeting to order at 9:15AM at the Zellwood Track. Frank Paulhamus Read the Treasurers report: Current account balance is $10, (which includes $1,000 we received from Mrs. Bud Murray for the new Bud Murray Scholarship fund) Larry Burkhardt made the Motion to accept, Todd Zellner made the 2 nd, all in Favor: Motion Passed Items Discussed/Motions Passed Board discussed the need for our club to become self sufficient, to that end we have the opportunity to purchase a water for $800.00, the board was provided pictures of the truck and decided that if the truck runs well to make the purchase. Todd Zellner made the motion; Dan Neumann made the 2 nd motion passed. Board discussed the need for a cover on the sled- board approved $ to purchase tarp and materials. Chris Beiter made the motion; Todd Zellner made the 2 nd motion passed. Board went over the changes to the rules suggested at the April meeting and Rob Waller made the motion; Todd Zellner made the 2 nd motion passed. New rules will be reviewed with club members at the July General Meeting and go into effect for the September pull.
