WEG W20 Motors The W20 motor is a very robust motor and is suitable to be operated in environments that pose harsh conditions. These motors are ideal for use in light industrial sectors such as the Agricultural Sector. They have proven to be a most cost effective solution to the industry. The W20 is designed and manufactured to last, with high quality cast iron frames, endshields and terminal box. As well as class F enameled windings. The Motor is designed to maximise versatility with the terminal box mounted on top of the Motor. We are able to offer a full range of the W20, complying with IEC and SABS standards. 6 Bearings WEG motors are fitted with the highest quality bearings selected from the best manufacturers in the world and designed to increase the life of the motor. Fan cover Manufactured from steel to increase the legth of its lifetime due to its mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. Rating Plate All information about the motor is printed onto the rating plate. Winding The wire is enameled with class F varnish and is suitable for VSD application Rotor Is dynamically balanced to reduce vibrations Shaft WEG uses SAE/AISI 1040/45 carbon steel as standard, which provides high mechanical strength to extend the life of the motor. Endshields Made of cast iron, assuring the highest mechanical strength. Drain holes Provided with rubber drain plug allowing drainage of condensed water. Seals WEG motors are fitted with either V-ring seals, Oil seals or Lip seals to ensure the best possible protection in moist environments. Stator Built with lower loss steel lamination to reduce magnetic losses and operating temperature. WEG motors are made of FC-200 high-grade cast iron. The frames are provided with fins aimed at improving the heat dissipation. Terminal block For easy termination of Supply cable. Fan WEG has designed the fan and fan cover with noise reduction in mind. The efficient cooling ensures low motor temperature rise, thus increasing motor efficiency. 7 Construction Details Made of FC-200 cast iron, the frame is not only good for improving heat conductivity, but also strong enough to meet the most hostile environments. Terminal Box The W20 motors' terminal box is made of cast iron and reserves enough space inside to make connection easy. The terminal box can be rotated at 90 intervals. End Shield The same of frame, W20 motors DE and NDE shields are made of FC-200 cast iron. This new design makes sure of the low shaft performances temperature and better heat radiation. Terminal Block - Connection W20 motors are equipped with 6 Pin terminal blocks. Fan Cover W20 motors' fan cover is made of steel plate.
