1 Description / Application MSV-C is used for balancing the flow in cooling, heating and domestic water systems. MSV-C is a combined manual presetting valve with following features: Fixed measurement orifice. Supplied with 2 pcs. of measuring nipples for needles. Handwheel with shut-off function and clear 360 o reading Digital scale with lock function Measuring accuracy of fixed orifice ± 5% MSV-C is supplied with internal thread. MSV-C is made in standard brass and CR brass (CR - Corrosion Resistant). MSV-C Fan Coil MSV-C Fan coil terminals for cooling and heating. 4 Measuring Fixed orifice (S ) and differential pressure will be used in the measuring equipment to define the flow. Measuring on a fixed orifice valve i.e. MSV-C is very fast and easy. The amount of information entered into the measuring equipment is low. The Danfoss measuring equipment PFM 3000: Type: Danfoss MSV-C Dimension: DN 20 Now presetting scale can be turned to the desired position and at the same time the exact flow can be read at the measuring equipment. The flow running through the MSV-C valve can be measured by using the Danfoss measuring equipment PFM 3000 or other brands of measuring equipment. The MSV-C valve is supplied with two measuring nipples for 3 mm needles. The other brands of measuring equipment. S : 4.1 (orifice DN 20 MSV-C) Now presetting scale can be turned to the desired flow and at the same time the exact flow can be read at the measuring equipment. The measuring nipples are placed across a fixed orifice and the differential pressure can be measured across this orifice. Fixed orifice The fixed orifice is a very presise way to define the flow running through a presetting valve. Our fixed orifice is created in the valve body and has a fixed and stable k vs. Sizing depends on valve dimension. On a fixed orifice valve i.e. MSV-C the orifice is fixed and stable because it is created in the valve body. Measuring accuracy ± 5%. Setting / adjustment The flow can be adjusted with the presetting hand-wheel. The digital presetting scale indicates the value of setting. Turn the presetting hand-wheel clockwise. The K v value will be smaller and finally shut-off the flow. Turn the presetting hand-wheel counter-clockwise and K v will increase. The digital presetting scale indicates: 0.0 Closed setting orifice. 8.0 Completly opened setting orifice.
