2 Perfect flow with dynamic balancing BROEN BALLOREX Dynamic is a combined pressure independent flow limiter and control valve. The new and innovative range of dynamic balancing valves operate independently of changes in system pressure in water-based cooling or heating systems. Stepless pre-setting The required flow rate is simply and easily adjusted with the enclosed pre-setting tool. Automatic flow limiter and control valve Differential pressure controller An integrated regulator maintains a constant differential pressure across the valve opening. The required flow is thereby kept constant regardless of pressure changes in the system. Installed with an actuator the BROEN BALLOREX Dynamic combines an automatic flow limiter and a 2-way control valve in one. With full control authority the valve reacts instantly and adjusts the flow as signalled by the Building Management System (BMS). Automatic flow limiter Direct flow measuring An integrated Venturi nozzle enables direct flow reading. When presetting the valve, the flow can be read directly on a flow meter. This ensures that the valve is set precisely to the designed flow within the +/- 3% tolerance. Without actuator BROEN BALLOREX Dynamic is an automatic flow limiter. The designed max. flow is easily set on the valve. With direct flow measuring the valve can be set with a unique accuracy of +/- 3%, when using a flow meter. The BROEN BALLOREX Dynamic ensures that the maximum set flow rate is not exceeded at Full control authority The actuator has 100% control authority regardless of the presetting and thus reacts instantly to the signal from the BMS and adjusts the flow accordingly.

3 Know the flow with direct measuring BROEN BALLOREX Dynamic is unique compared to other dynamic balancing valves offered in the market. It is the only valve having a built-in Venturi, with a fixed Kv-value allowing direct flow measurement using a flow meter. the designed flow and set the valve. Pre-setting the BROEN BALLOREX Dynamic valve is precise and easily done, simply by turning the pre-setting tool on top of the valve until the required flow is set. The required flow and the balance in the system is hereafter provided by the BROEN BALLOREX Dynamic valve. The advantages in being able to measure the flow directly are many. The actual system flow can be checked and compared to the designed flow. There is therefore no longer any reason to assume that the flow is correct, it can now be verified. With the direct flow measurement, commissioning documentation of actual flow rates can be provided. This is often required by legislation and recommended by design guides. Accurate setting is easily done using a flow meter. Adjusting the required flow while monitoring the actual flow provides a very precise setting of the valve. Finally the direct flow measurement can help in general maintenance of the system, either in service checks or detecting and identifying system errors. Complicated commissioning is history The often complicated, time, and cost consuming process of commissioning balancing valves is no longer needed. Once installed, verification of the pre-setting can be undertaken by connecting a flow meter. Total flow control The BROEN BALLOREX Dynamic valve has full control authority. With the built in regulator and the precise and directly acting actuator the BROEN BALLOREX Dynamic will react instantly to the signals from the BMS. This provides constant and precise indoor thermal comfort under all conditions. 4 Installation made flexible and easy Installation of the BROEN BALLOREX Dynamic valve is very flexible as the valve can be installed in any position required, as long as the flow direction is respected. Both the on-off and the modulating BROEN actuator are water proof. Consequently space can be saved e.g. by mounting the actuator pointing downwards, and still having easy access to valve setting and PT- plugs.
