10 Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve UV Double Eccentric Butterfly Valves impressive range - DN150 to DN5000. Pressures: PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40, BS EN593 and BS5163, EN558 Series 13, 14. WRAS approval up to DN2800 Bi-directional, with other sizes to DN5000 pending. High Security - manufactured in GGG50 with a variety of shaft and trim materials for service conditions. Market leading design in terms of corrosion protection and disc to shaft securityfeaturing double key way and double pin, to both stub shafts for total protection against mechanical forces and anti-flutter. Robust valve design in all respects of body, shaft and disc design, with streamlined low head loss - anti flutter contour. Long proven service life throughout large size range. Strong Gearbox design to IP67/68 for buried and submersible conditions. 14 Check VALVE UV range of check valves embraces standard self acting versions and specialised valves, from DN50 to 1800mm, with a variety of ancillary features to suit application. Whether free acting, or weight assisted with hydraulic controls, consideration must be given to flow reversal speeds, possible surge and non-slam requirement. To assist correct valve choice we use CFDA Computational Fluid Dynamic Analysis, which is accurate within 1 or 2% of actual performance - see UV Special Valves. Featured below is a Double Eccentric Tilting Disc Check Valve, supplied as free acting or weight loaded with hydraulic damper, from DN200 to 1400mm. 18 Submerged Discharge Valves This valve is custom designed for service conditions with a long experience of application engineering and high quality manufacture. Designed to handle high volume non turbulent discharge quietly, this is a long service life valve. 18

19 Specialist Valves Utilities Valves offer a range of Specialist Valves and Larner-Johnson for severe duties associated with pipeline flow & pressure control, handling large differential pressures, cavitation phenomena & high energy dissipation. This is where our Larner-Johnson with 100 years experience leads the market. This advanced technology includes Fixed Cone Free Discharge Valves, used in the worlds largest Dams, handling extremely high velocity flows where we apply unique CFDA and Hydroelastic models to predict conditions. Fixed Cone Type Valves Eccentric Ball Valve Needle Control Type Valves NON SLAM Free Acting Swing Check Valve UV NON-SLAM Free Acting Swing Check Valve is one of few valves capable of Non Slam performance under severe flow reversal conditions, proven over 60 years of world wide installations. Available up to DN1800 with up to four sequential opening doors, the valves technology provides fast non slam performance with a relatively low head loss design. Again, our CFDA models accurately predict performance for this critical duty valve. All UV Specialist Valves are of highest grade materials and construction. 19

20 penstocks Stop Logs Utilities Valves Stop Logs are an ideal cost effective solution for temporary flow diversion during maintenance or creating a weir wall. They are used in a wide variety of installations including water and wastewater treatment plants, power stations, flood control and waterways, achieving single spans of over 6 meters. Two key components are Frame Sides and insertable Logs, manufactured in stainless steel grade 304 / 316. A flexible ground seal design eliminates need for track or frame. 20

21 Penstocks Our high quality Penstocks are suitable for numerous isolation and flow control applications including: water and wastewater treatment, industrial effluent, flood control and hydro-electric plants. European manufactured in stainless steel grade 304 / 316, or to your specification, our proven effective wall sealing design, limits deflection and promotes a superior seal. A mechanically fixed, self-adjusting EPDM wiper seal between the frame and door seal, is abrasion resistant with low friction drag and durability. Standard sizes up to 2000mm, plus bespoke design and optional installation service. 21

22 Valve Refurbishment Qualified Refurbishment Valve Engineers carry out on-site assessment of valve condition and viability of valve reconditioning at our specialist workshop or often on-site repair or retrofit of gearboxes. Our UK valve manufacturing facilities allow us to carry out full refurbishment of virtually any type and size of valve from small and very large diameter gate valves and butterfly valves as seen below, to sophisticated flow and pressure control valves. In earlier times the detailed inspection of an operational valve required removal from the pipeline and disassembly before examination could take place, with resultant downtime and cost. Present day use of unobtrusive examination techniques includes ultrasonic testing, plus we have developed a procedure of internal valve inspection utilizing endoscopic video equipment, gaining access to the valve whilst in-situ. The results can be video recorded to support refurbishment recommendations. This technique undertaken by our trained specialists has proven to save clients a considerable amount of money. Our Engineers are confined space trained and qualified to offer a trouble shooting and valve consultancy service which can assist your decision of repair or replacement. 22

23 On-site Services Apart from on-site valve refurbishment we can supervise valve installation and undertake commissioning of various types of actuated valves or more specialist automatic hydraulic / weight closing valves, plus commissioning and handover of large needle or plunger control valves. Often site access conditions are difficult with large valves and our Engineers may be called upon to complete assembly of partially built valves on location.
