5 BODY CONTROLLER DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES 1 1. DISPLAYING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES Te ability to isplay iagnostic trouble coes (DTC) is an optional feature. Coes may be isplaye on eiter te gauge cluster or an optional veicle information isplay (VID). Te veicle must be equippe wit te option to isplay coes in bot cases. Coes will not be isplaye on te gauge cluster if te veicle is equippe wit te VID VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH OPTION TO DISPLAY CODES Displaying Coes on te Gauge Cluster (Non-VID equippe veicles) To isplay coes on veicles not equippe wit a VID: 1. Set te parking brake. 2. Turn te key switc to te ACCESSORY position to view only previously active coes. Turn te key switc to te IGNITION position to view bot active an previously active coes. 3. Momentarily press te Cruise "ON" switc an te Cruise "Resume" switc at te same time. A gauge sweep will be performe on te gauges. Te gauge cluster will ten isplay te following information for 5 secons: Software Rev: XXX Harware Rev: XXX Active Faults: XXX Total Faults: XXX NOTE Te gauge cluster will only isplay Software Rev an Harware Rev for 5 secons followe by te message Diagnostic Trouble Coes are not if te veicle is not equippe wit te option to isplay coes. If faults are present, te gauge cluster isplay will sow eac iagnostic trouble coe for 10 secons an ten automatically scroll to te next entry an continue to cycle troug te faults. Once all faults ave been isplaye te number of faults will be isplaye again, ten te cycle will repeat. To manually cycle troug te fault list press an release te cluster isplay selector button. Te following information will be isplaye for eac fault: SPN: XXXX FMI: XX Active OC: XXX SA: XXX SPN: XXXX FMI: XX Previously Active OC: XXX SA: XXX NOTE Turning te key switc off, turning te key switc to te CRANK position, or releasing te park brake will take te gauge cluster out of te iagnostic moe. Suspect parameter number (SPN), failure moe inicator (FMI) an occurrence count numbers are liste. Source aresses an DTC escriptions are presente in plain text. NOTE Te VID will isplay Available if a DTC escription is not for a particular fault. Displaying coes will only be allowe if all of te following conitions are true: Te key switc is in te IGNITION position. AND isplaying coes is allowe ue to veicle orerable options AND te programmable parameter Diagnostics is enable using Diamon Logic Builer (DLB). Te veicle is not moving (te Veicle Spee is equal to zero). Te feature is not passwor protecte to prevent unautorize access. Refer to te Veicle Information Display Owner s Manual for more information. Perform te following steps if all of te above conitions are met: 1. Go to te main menu screen NOTE Te following selections will not be if te veicle is not equippe wit te option to isplay coes. 2. Select DIAGNOSTIC CODES 3. Select ACTIVE or INACTIVE. Te VID may initiate a passwor prompt if te VID as been passwor protecte. Refer to te Veicle Information Display Owner s Manual for more information. Te VID will inicate "NO FAULT DETECTED" if faults are not foun. Scroll troug te list of faults if faults are present.
