6 About us Linari Engineering s.r.l.u. was founded in Pisa in 2003 by Eng. Stefano Linari. It is for users who already own a Starter Kit or any other conventional electrospinning system, allowing them to go from a static fiber collection system to a dynamic one. Electrospinnable materials It is possible to electrospin any type of synthetic, organic polymer or ceramic material, starting from solutions at room temperature. Fibers quality Oriented or non-oriented nanofibers are created on tubular collectors of variable diameter and length. Quantity produced The quantity of nanofibers that can be produced is determined by the electrospinning system into which it is incorporated. [ 30 ]

Electrospinnable materials With the RT Collector it is possible to electrospin any type of synthetic, organic polymer or ceramic material, starting from solutions at room temperature. 56 Electrospinning systems 60 kv WEB generator The HVG-P60-WEB system combines in a single, easy to use and compact product everything necessary to create a complete and absolutely safe electrospinning workspace. The new control system allows the user to regulate and control the high voltage generator both through the bright 3" color LCD display, and through a convenient web interface, which can be accessed via the Ethernet interface supplied as standard, using any internet browser. The redundant management that stops the high voltage generator if the emergency push button is pressed or further to the opening of the magnetic limit switch is to be placed at the entrance to the electrospinning chamber and guarantees maximum safety to the operator. 114 Collectors Flat collectors The flat collectors can be used to create load-bearing support structures for the nanofibers produced. The foils are made of polished AISI 316 stainless steel. These plates are ideal for submitting the deposit of nanofibers to subsequent chemical or heat treatments due to the high stability of the substrate. In particular during heat treatments, the stainless steel provides a limited coefficient of thermal expansion thereby reducing to a minimum the deformations and therefore the stresses applied to the nanofibers. 116 Collectors Collector/deflector with flexible support Our collectors are composed of polished stainless steel plates in customizable sizes and are supported by a flexible and free-standing support made of dielectric material, inside which is located a copper conductor which is also flexible. The support ends with a base that makes it suitable for installation with an M6 screw onto our modular supports or directly onto the syringe block of the RT Advanced if used as deflector. This product, in fact, can be used not only as a collector, but also as a deflector for the electric field. The expert use of electric field deflectors makes it possible to create truly efficient electrospinning systems suitable for your scientific requirements enabling the accurate modelling of the electric field lines along which the nanofibers move. 126 Supports Vertical supports The vertical supports enable the rigid or flexible flat collectors to be fastened into position in front of the needle for every static electrospinning application. Made of aluminum or Plexiglas, they feature a perforation allowing to install them on the modular supports with special screws for a secure and stable hold that guarantees electrospinning with accurate and repeatable geometries over time. The use of dielectric supports in Plexiglas allows to correctly manage electricity-conducting collectors -with even small shapes and geometries- where to concentrate the electric field, and so the nanofibers, avoiding their being attracted by unwanted metal surfaces. Instead, the aluminum supports make the electric field uniform and permit using also dielectric collectors such as films and polymeric networks. 128 Supports Supports for needles Supports in totally dielectric material allow the users to freely position their metal needles, connected to high voltage, inside the electrospinning chamber. The supports are composed of a base and a black PVC cursor joined by a rigid, vertical, cylindrical bar in composite material loaded with glass fiber. The cursor can scroll and rotate along the vertical bar. The needles, either two sealed coaxial needles (two or three layers) or a single modular coaxial needle, are fastened to the said cursor. There is also a version supporting up to two metal needles with Luer connector.
