Portcullis design is recommended to maximise security and natural light. Glazing cassettes inserted from the outside reduce the risk of forced entry. FSM s use of Zintec provides protection against corrosion on the inside and outside of the profile. A Zinc-primer, which complies with SSPC paint 20 (Steel Structure Painting Council), together with a polyester powder coating, gives you a high quality low maintenance finish. A long-established design which has been refined to give you a cost effective and reliable product. Concealed fixings reduce tampering and provide a very acceptable appearance with smooth lines. Designed to incorporate electronic access control with entry panel, emergency service switch, push to exit, door lock and closer options as required. 7 FSM Mild Steel Portcullis Door System Specification General FSM has been manufacturing Heavy Duty Vandal Resistant security doors/screens for many years. The design has been modified and refined to give a cost effective, durable and reliable product. Aimed primarily at the Municipal market they are able to withstand extremes of use and weather with a minimum of maintenance. FSM Doors/Screens are recommended to be of portcullis design although other designs can be accommodated. FSM Doors/Screens have the following features:- 1.0 Construction 1.1 Main Frame: 80 x 30 x 2.5mm Mild Steel Box Section Outer Frame (Jansen) 90 x 50 x 2mm Zintec FSM Box Section Internal Members c/w Thresholds to accommodate glazing cassettes or equipment housings. Magpost with provision for flush Maglocks. Unique door hinge adjustment insert 1.2 Door 90 x 50 x 2mm Zintec FSM Box Section Main Frame c/w Thresholds to accommodate glazing cassettes and Provide protection for locks & closers Provision for Maglock Armature Plates 100mm open x 3 thick c/w 8mm hinge pin full height continuous Ant-Nip Hinge 300 x 25 diameter stainless steel D Handle (or preferred) 1.3 Glazing 6mm Polycarbonate upper section (or preferred) 3mm Solid zintec infills lower section (or preferred) Retained in a special heavy-duty aluminium glazing profile and neoprene gasket. Factory pre-assembled into a portcullis style glazing cassette and retained with concealed fixings. Daylight between vertical glazing mullions to be no more than 180mm in both upper and lower sections. 2.0 Finish Abrade, degrease, zinc phosphate pre-treatment, textured polyester powder coat to nominal 60 microns thickness. Colour generally to customers requirements, subject to availability.

11 FSM Mild Steel Controlled Access Gate System Specification General FSM Controlled Access Gates/panels have been designed to a similar modular concept as our vandal resistant security doors/screens. They provide a cost-effective solution for access control in external areas. They are able to withstand extremes of use and weather with a minimum of maintenance.
