Disconnect the limit switch (A) and operate the limit switch. 2. Check for continuity between the terminals. 3. Make sure that the seat operation is normal in the reverse after the maximum operation.

2 4. If there is an abnormality, replace the limit switch. Disconnect the limit switch and operate the limit switch. 2. Check for continuity between the terminals. 3. Make sure that the seat operation is normal in the reverse after the maximum operation. 4. If there is an abnormality, replace the limit switch.

Reverse the connections and check that the motor turns in reverse. 4. If there is an abnormality, replace the motors. 5 Inspection 1. With the power seat switch in each position, make sure that continuity exists between the terminals below. If continuity is not as specified, replace the power seat switch. 6 SEAT HEATER SWITCH REPAIR PROCEDURES Inspection Front Seat Heater Switch 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the seat heater switch from the floor console (A) with scraper. Fig. 12: Removing Seat Heater Switch From Floor Console 3. Check that continuity exists between the terminals. Terminal No : 1. Ground, 2. High signal switch 3. Low signal switch, 5. Illumination (-), 6. Illumination (+)

9 1. Check for continuity and measure the resistance between No. 1 and No. 3 terminals. Fig. 18: Measuring Resistance Between No. 1 & No. 3 Terminals Standard value Cushion : 4.5ohms ± 10%, Back : 3.96ohms ± 10% 2. Operate the seat warmer after connecting the 3P connector, and then check the thermostat by measuring the temperature of seat surface. Standard value HI : ± 35.6 F (42 ± 2 C) (Cushion), ± 35.6 F (52 ± 2 C) (Back) 3. Check for continuity between the terminals after disconnecting the connector. 10 Fig. 20: Measuring Resistance Between No. 1 & No. 3 Terminals Standard value Cushion : 4.36ohms ± 10% 2. Operate the seat warmer after connecting the 3P connector, and then check the thermostat by measuring the temperature of seat surface. Standard value Cushion : 104 ± 35.6 F (40 ± 2 C)
